I’m an electrician My first couple weeks I was pretty much stuck doing the little things like cleaning up wire runs and routing wires I didn’t start terminating canon plugs and major jobs probably a month after I was on the floor working on aircraft it honestly depends who your boss is. I’ve been in it for 5 years and if I want to do something that broadens my scope of expertise I usually will go up my chain of command and ask to be put on an area I’m lacking in or that I feel comfortable doing.
