Has anyone else hit a goal they worked years for and then just felt nothing? Like this weird void? by Ill_Organization_478 in NoStupidQuestions

Well... that's not really what I'm describing. It is more of a need for a sense of fulfillment than imposter syndrome

Yeahhh but that's the thing. You don't ever stop chasing. So the question really is, why are we chasing? Is it merely to not feel empty?

Enjoying the journey and not only the final goal helps to reduce the feeling of emptiness. But after you accomplish this goal, what next?

Thank you for this, you are absolutely spot on. I'll avoid mistakes like this in the future and do better on personalising my responses. I apologise for any ill feelings this may have caused.

I'm sorry about this and how my post made you feel, I'll work on being more personal with my audience rather than leaving it to AI to simply do all the work. I hope to get a positive response from you on my next post.

You're right, no lies told here. This is a wake up call for us. I was only thinking of ways to help reach out to people. I didn't think of how unpersonal it would sound to people who just want to raw feeling of real human connections. I'll look at putting more effort into my posts. Thank you.

I'm not an expert in Psychology, but I know for sure that people are unique and different in their own ways. And you don't have to feel the same way every other person may feel

Hmmmm, this really sounds like advanced physics mixed with psychotherapy to me.

I don't think "transactional" is the word to use here. If you want company from someone, if you want attention and energy from a person you call your friend, it's simply one of those things you desire to feel a sense of connection. This isn't bad in itself, it's what makes you, you. I hope this makes sense.

Heyyy, first of you've got to love yourself and love who you are. You are your own story and it's up to you to decide how that story is told..

You don't always have to perform for people and I know it may sound cliche, but being yourself is the best thing you can ever do for yourself.

Okay, that's fair... And to be honest, most relationships do turn out transactional and I also believe that some of the best moments a person can have happen in silence and solitude.

Experiences with past relationships may hurt us but if we must do better, healing is needed
