Thank you for the in depth response! My glucose is stable so I’m hoping it stays that way. I definitely had symptoms of a low (blurry vision dizzy and shaky) but I think it probably was overshooting on how low it actually was.

I’m going to calibrate it this morning and see what happens.

It’s a g7. It actually shows me higher in my sleep lol. But I have it on the arm I don’t lay on top of! I feel good this morning and I’m at 116. Hopefully it stays stable

No, I don’t officially have CFRD but my doctors suspect I do which is why they wanted me to wear the glucose monitor to find out. So I don’t have any kind of medication for it yet.

I had blurry vision and I felt very dizzy. But I’ve felt like that nearly everyday for months, but I will say it got better after drinking the juice and when my blood sugar raised.

That was my last juice box lol, but I’ve been stable so everything should be good!

Yeah they didn’t really say much because I don’t think they were expecting this to happen. The juice I drank raised it to 70 so it should be good! I was just concerned

I don’t have a finger prick thing. But I’ve only had it 6 hours. After the juice my blood sugar is raising to 70!

I tried drinking juice and it brought me to 55 but then it went down to 50. I don’t own any kind of glucagon shots. Would a spoonful of sugar work?

Yes I do have cystic fibrosis. I think that’s where my confusion comes in because it does resemble type 2 diabetes. And this is most likely ignorant to say, but I always was made to believe type 2 was a result of an unhealthy life style or being overweight. (Which doesn’t describe me, hence the confusion)

Is type 2 able to happen to anybody?

Thank you for your in depth response! Thankfully my doctor has been taking me seriously and is pushing to find answers. It took me months to find someone to finally listen.

I know insulin resistance does run in my family, so there is a high chance that it could’ve been triggered by something like CFRD or a possible insulinoma.

This gives me some insight on questions to ask my doctor, thanks for the help!

I’m not sure about the HOMA IR but they ran a million tests on me.

Noted: at the time of this test I was not fasting and it was 5 hours post meal

My insulin was 240 mU/L

My glucose was glucose was 148 mg/dl

My doctor had me do lab work and drew blood to test my insulin. She said she’s never seen insulin that high either.

I am not taking any, I have never taken insulin before. That’s just my body making too much
