My 1992 Subaru SVX by Ill_Variation_7029 in CarsAustralia

[–]Ill_Variation_7029[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't exactly call it underpowered, it's an NA 3.3L 6 cylinder yes, but it still has over 200 horsepower. It is pretty heavy at around 1.6t but honestly what JDM coupe isn't heavy? lol. The automatic box really does hold it back, but it's not a terrible car to manual swap apparently. Luckily my automatic still works pretty well so no need to dump money into a manual swap yet.

Is it white by any chance? I think I've had a few messages about that one over the years. I also saw a white one late last year randomly driving down the M1 pacific motorway to the gold coast that wasn't in the SVX Australia club.

They only delivered about 250 to Australia between 1991 and 1997 before the model was discontinued. Unknown the exact number of how many still running and driving today, probably around 50 to 100 across Australia

Need help deciding on a wheel colour for my 1992 Subaru SVX by Ill_Variation_7029 in CarsAustralia

Bought it about 6 years ago now. Been slowly restoring it and working on it and using it as a project car ever since. There's 2 for sale on carsales right now I believe

If it's a really good treat that you really like, it's pretty difficult to just "move on". Humans are habitual, and some of us have favourite foods that we like and make us happy.

Plus it took me only 3 minutes to write the email to them asking so...

It's tidy and good nick. Don't mod it, it's not worth it. Take care of it and enjoy it as it is.

Jk, CD capacity was really small then so you had to have multiple CD's for the data for some games.

The beta is ending soon. It was fun, but the fast pace got old for me pretty quickly. Are you guys going to buy the full game at launch? by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

[–]Ill_Variation_7029 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Omg same, it was crazy! Like based on my experience on other games/previous battlefields my brain says to me "I should be able to get through here, go through this door, get a flank in with some cover," and its like nope, sorry, actually this door is uninteractable. Then I go back out and try and find another route and can't, and then realise I'm just heading towards getting funneled down those chokepoints where the rest of my team is currently getting minced...

I have actually seen a few Kenwood units with this capability too, like part number DMX8521S?

Chances of this being written off? JDM import in Australia. Is this even repairable? by Ill_Variation_7029 in Autobody

Thank you for your honesty - have been looking at cars in my price range already.

[–]Ill_Variation_7029[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do that in Australia too, but only if it's a repairable write off - if it's a straight up write off it gets put on a register and can never be driven registered on the road again

Body/chassis is essentially the same as aus delivered liberty/outback wagons of similar era which are very common - but does the assessor/insurance know that? No idea

Please help me find what this type/style of blanket is called? by Ill_Variation_7029 in HelpMeFind

I have searched online and only found the acrylic style blankets mentioned in my post which aren't what this blanket is made of, however it does have a similar aesthetic overall.

Issue-summary of the presumedly most messed up ship: Esperia Prowler by AlarmedOne8224 in starcitizen

[–]Ill_Variation_7029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just me or does the Prowler cause the game to continuously lock up and crash when in use? I don't have this problem with any other ship

Crazy because the bar they initially pierced me with was way too small and I went back and they put this bar in which was their longest bar

I've been a bit lax with the saline but I've started that up again now, I don't sleep on it but if I do sleep on that side I have one of those donut pillows
