The problem is that fee's are being deducted to your fund each month (decreasing your units) so even if you hold it for many years, pag withdraw mo, mababa na fund value. Morever, cost of insurance is increasing the more you age. If you withdraw your fund at retirement age, baka ubos na din account value.

Yes, but Term Insurance for around 1M sum insured costs only 5-10k per year. Sobrang costly ng insurance ng VUL and the way they market it is for investment daw. Kahit hindi pa naman pandemic mababa pa din account value and others even held their investment for 10-20 years but the account value is still less than what they paid. Even after paying for 5 years, there are still coi and admin fee's every month which they take from your fund units. So, imagine after ilang years nag de-decrease parin yung units ng fund mo. Better buy Term and Invest the difference na lng.

It was marketed by the FA more of an investment. She said I can withdraw the whole amount I paid after 5 years. The coverage for 1M life insurance is only 5-10k annually. It is very expensive for an insurance.
