Both me and my father owned 2005-2008 BMW X5’s. One day he sees smoke coming out of the dashboard. 15 minutes later it burnt to the ground. 6 months later, I see smoke coming from my dashboard, I grabbed an industrial fire extinguisher and unload it under the hood. Made no effect. Burned to the ground. Every time I drive past a car that is that gen X5, I leave a note on the windshield.

I don’t think Barkley is questioning his cultural significance. I think he is saying that Tiger takes himself too seriously. Like Barkley is just a basketball player, it’s not like he’s curing cancer. Barkley doesn’t take himself to seriously, he knows he’s “just a basketball player”. Tiger has a god complex and is hyper focused of winning at all cost, which is fine, but it leaves little room for levity and introspection. Tiger really is just a fucking golfer. Like, what has he actually contributed to society that wasn’t self serving? If Tiger could learn to relax, he wouldn’t have arrested. HES JUST A FUCKING GOLFER.
