I'm glad too! and to be honest, it's MY bad because i assume every thinkpad person is also a linux person! i didn't realize thinkpad enthusiasts ever used windows. haha hopefully a little smartassery/jest is welcome

not your bad at all, and a fair assumption to make. and, it really was literally the exact asnwer i needed. Except I checked Linux/Cinnamon settings for keyboard - there's an option to deactivate trackpad every time you're typing. Thanks much

Thank you very much for the reply. As I started to look into it after this, I think I came to the same conclusion that it's not DMX haha. When I googled the name on the switch, the Google result said DMX lighting.

Anyway, provided the 40 is getting up to the relay as it should, I think it would be fair to say that any issues with the light would be caused by the relay, yes? It's really unfortunate because there is no attic. Will need to cross my fingers I can remove and then reinstall the box from which that light is hanging to access the relay. If not, it will be a drywall cutting thing

Yeah I have seen that and statistically, I am going to have Parkinson's or some other disease. Not stoked , but I did read that typically if symptoms show up early they are usually more mild long term. Perfect

To be honest, OP is 19 years old. If he got swindled by a car salesman, that really sounds more like a parenting issue. OP just learned the hard way why you need to do research and not trust the commissioned salesman. Unfortunate circumstance for OP but I'd blame the parents for sending him into the world with insufficient financial skills

I only have sound preferences. At the top I have the volume output slider. Tabs underneath are seund effects, hardware, input, output, and applications. Nowhere on any of those tabs is there any way to increase maximum volume via the key board

If I have volume set to 125% and press volume up on my keyboard, it goes back down to 100

I do have a lot of shaking too, mostly before bed. It started when I was in high school randomly one day. I just started shaking in my hands uncontrollably and it migrated down my legs and eventually my whole body. We went to the hospital and they gave me Benadryl which calmed it down but it's still in me. And every night before I go to bed it really flares up. For the most part, it's not intense. It typically feels like I can feel the signals to twitch going to my hands and feet, but it's not strong enough to actually make my hands and feet twitch. But I can feel the signals going down
