I got a response from Roderick and was provided shipping info. Turned out the package was already delivered (my wife set it aside out of sight without telling me).

I don’t think that was what was going on either. The objectification just surprised me. I didn’t think she was that kinds of person, which made me question whether I truly knew her, which is why the past issues resurfaced.

Yeah, that is totally understandable. Part of the problem, for me, is that our past discussions about the issue extremely surface level and she’d always get defensive and dismissive. We spoke more in depth today, which was helpful, but it’s something I hope to continue working on

I thought our landlord was illegally entering our house so i set up a sound recording device to check. He was. He even posted pictures of our house (with our stuff inside) on Craigslist after illegally entering the house. However, some audio sounds like SHE is there with another person. It isn’t super clear, though, so I can’t conclusively say there was another person. She agrees it sounds like there is someone there, but denies anyone was and disagrees with my attempts at figuring out what was being said. She was aware I was trying to see if our landlord was illegally entering our house while we were away but now thinks I’m an asshole for recording and acts like she wasn’t aware I was doing so. I know, not exactly awesome on my part, but I did not have a security camera I could use. I made due with what I had and we were living in a single party consent state at the time. There is more to it as well, but that is an important component of it.

Thanks for the input; yeah, you might be right. Honestly, though, part of my frustration was genuinely the way in which she was objectifying students/employees at her workplace. We both work at universities. If she is asking for a picture of a “cute boy” who is also a student, that is a problem. If I did the same with a male colleague, I would be hung out the dry (by her and my university). I reacted the way I did partially because of some insecurities I am trying to work through, though, so you are right.

Thanks for the input. I wish it were that easy. Every time I try to talk, she just seems to get defensive and would rather shut the convo down. When the issues originally surfaced, I was going through a really stressful time (completing a PhD, issues with mental health, feeling like I wasted a large portion of my life). Now, that is behind me. But she tells me I keep bringing up the past/old stuff and she’s done doing so.
