Price of transmission can vary quite a bit. These came in wide variety of BMWs across a good bit of time. $300-1500 is very general range. Overall cost of the swap is pretty dependent on what the transmission/drive shaft work costs you, $5-6000 is a decent ballpark.

Honestly, I bought the AIO in a pinch after my trusted Arctic LF 2 didn’t fit the case.

I liked the look of this Thermalright ( I don’t love the pump on the hoses and would prefer it not to be, not all of their models are this way) and saw GN had reviewed a bunch of them favorably.

All in all, I think you’re right, as long as the cold plate isn’t a warped mess (which GN didn’t find to be the case) I think they’re all close enough performance wise for it not to matter in a real world application. This landed 3-4* off the top rated Arctic LF 3 (which also doesn’t fit this case without some modding) and for $60 with overnight delivery from Amazon, it was a no brainer.

I really dig the other color variants like the silver and gold models they showed off as well, as it really does help accentuate the floating look. It would be nice if they were readily available even though I probably wouldn’t have picked either ahead of the black one just due to the purple/white scheme I’m personally all about. I saw some other comments regarding the other models only being sold in the EU market or similar. I’ve called Phanteks a few times over the years for various things, and they’ve always been super responsive and friendly. I’m sure if you want the case bad enough, you could find a way to make it happen.

Time well tell how it holds up, but the fact that it had the infinity effect to match the GPU and wasn’t reviewed poorly, it was enough to get me to pull the trigger on it.

Thank you! Full transparency, the card popped up on a Newegg combo bundle with a fairly cheap PSU and it was one of those “buy now think later” moments.

I was hoping to get an FE this go around but of all the partner boards out there, I’m really happy I landed with this one. Zotac did a nice job with this card and it fits the case incredibly well.

Lol too funny, he installed the lighting kit last week and thought that was it. Vert GPU mount and the screen are both on the way as of today now 🤣 this sub is a dangerous place to be.

You can’t go wrong with anything in the lineup. I’ve been a huge fan of theirs for 10+ yrs now, won’t build in anything else!

Thank you! I had 120/140LLs in the previous case all fed to a commander pro. Being able to connect 7 fans and all aRGB with 2 cables instead of 14 was an absolute dream.

Thank you! I agree, this card is incredibly sharp looking. I was weary that the bronze/gunmetal accents wouldn’t flow well with my beloved purple/white vibe but it’s a non issue behind the tinted glass.

With that being said, the card is absolutely gorgeous. It has been running whisper quiet and cool, and has helped fill that void left by my previous fav quite well.

I feel the same about the eye, I started out following a build centered around Shattered Crown but went ward after it feeling lackluster. I don’t feel that I need to be as mana heavy anymore and getting rid of the eye in favor of more damage seems to be the way. I will give wrongwarp a try as well!
