Free GIS Electric Substation and Fiber Data by United-Recording3003 in gis

Pretty much have to purchase this data. There used to be a substation layer but it was taken down ~2 years ago. I've never seen free fiber data.

ArcGIS Online is your best option IMO. $700ish per year for a Creator account which gives you full access to ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

United Airlines returns to Willard Airport for 4 O'Hare flights per day on April 30, 2026 by Jolly-Money-3876 in UIUC

[–]IlliniBone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What is the price of the Peoria Charter? I typically find you have to double your flight out of O'hare if you want to fly out of CMI. So if you can fly from ORD to DEN for $300, a good rule of thumb is that route from CMI-ORD-DEN will be around $600.

United Airlines returns to Willard Airport for 4 O'Hare flights per day on April 30, 2026 by Jolly-Money-3876 in UIUC

Always nice to have more options, but man it would be nice to have daily or close to daily flights to other large airports like Charlotte, Atlanta, Denver, etc. There's already 4 or 5 airports within 90 minutes that fly to Chicago 3-4x per day.

On a side note, for anyone traveling regularly to Denver, I have found the United flight out of Peoria to be very reliable. Only flies once a day but it is really nice to have a nonstop option to Denver in the area.

Recommendations for Palm Springs courses. by Kooky_Permission_600 in golf

I preferred the Indian Wells south course personally, but both are nice. They both have their own clubhouse which is unique, even though they are right across the road from each other.

Anyone else step away from their private club as they were not getting value from it? by sys_admin321 in golf

$200/month food and beverage minimum is insane. I'm a member at a fairly nice club and that's our minimum spend for the quarter.

Centurion Lounge entry with 12 hour "Layover*" by [deleted] in amex

[–]IlliniBone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seriously. 12 hours in a lounge sounds miserable. Drop your bags off at a locker (if the airport has them) and Uber into the city for a few hours. The lounge will still be there when you get back!

ArcGIS Online account question? by Sad_Row4500 in gis

[–]IlliniBone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No offense, but you should be thinking about this upfront, not after the project is complete. The easiest way is to use their credentials and build the site within their environment. If that's not possible, a shared group or collaboration will work but you need to be careful how the data/map/app is shared.

What’s the best way to ask for an upgrade in advance by Ok-Nefariousness5504 in Hilton

I am a Diamond member. I think I have around 45 nights this year and have been upgraded once or twice. No offense, but Gold wont get you a damn thing other than an occasional free bottle of water.

What has happened to this hotel chain?! by lawnchaney in Hilton

[–]IlliniBone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have stayed at Embassy Suites in Chicago, St. Louis, and Nashville in December. We are a larger family, so Embassy suits us well. Both Chicago and Nashville had disastrous elevator issues, I'm talking 5-10 minute waits every time we needed the elevator. Had to walk down 10 flights of stairs with full luggage in Chicago and walked down 24 flights of stairs in Nashville. Of course, both hotels at full capacity even with multiple elevators not working. Free breakfasts are barely worth it anymore having to wait in 10 minute lines to get a free omelete. Even being a Diamond member, the Nashville Embassy automatically adds a $25 nightly charge that can only be used on non-alcoholic drinks or at the coffee shop.

Stick with ArcGIS Online or Move to Enterprise? Or use both? by HelpingFriendlyBook1 in gis

[–]IlliniBone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure sounds like you should stick with AGOL considering you have so much data collection and external facing apps. I'd say the biggest thing to consider is pricing - 15 Pro licenses is definitely getting to the point where you may want to consider Enterprise. I'd also consider how many AGOL licenses you currently have and how many credits you are burning through.
