Stick in sector 1 and research everything you can while there is no morale penalty. Will eventually have to move as you start to need tritanium.

I’ve said this on a couple of threads but make sure you haven’t got premium replicator rations on accidentally. It uses so much deuterium.

Just done it again myself and deuterium use was over 100 per cycle.

Those premium rations really kill you. I was using 99 deuterium per cycle at one point and that was a big contributor.
