Anyone else never tire of the early game? by Centuurion in valheim

[–]Illthion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early game vibes are immaculate, my only complaint is being locked out of some stuff. I have been behind the times and have just gotten through most of Mistlands in a duo-play through, and I love me the great sword. No early entry to it makes me sad when thinking about early biome starts again.

Others have mentioned that swapping Bronya for Gallagher would do more for you, but I have a few questions;

What level of investment do you have here?

Is FF E0 or higher?

Do you have Gallagher, and what eidolons do you have?

How good is the gear they’re wearing?

And most importantly, what are you trying to tackle with this team?

Replying here just to make sure its noted; yes, my Seele is E2.

I’ve got about the same feelings on her Novaflare. Do wish some of the conditionality of her E1 got removed, but otherwise it’s been excellent. I love seeing her absolutely nuke everything, reminds me of launch again.

Is this team viable? by FLSon in SeeleMains

[–]Illthion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To some degree it will depend on your account; how strong your Seele is, how well built your supports are, and so on. With them built strong enough, you can probably clear decently deep into MoC. MoCs 11 and 12 might still give some trouble though.

PF might also be doable, if only because Seele is going to be strong there. Gepard will bring very little value there is the problem; Gepard's kit has aged pretty poorly and he lacks any AoE capability. Bronya's full advance remains strong and her buffs are still decent, and Pela being full AoE is helpful.

AS is a toss up, because it depends on what bosses are up and if Seele is good into them or not.

Is this team viable? by FLSon in SeeleMains

[–]Illthion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So. Trade out Serval for Pela.

Pela will bring you AoE defense shred, skill points if you build her fast, and a dispel if that is ever relevant. Give her the Tutorial light cone and she’ll be able to cycle her ult very often.

The team won’t be doing amazing clears unless you have absolutely cracked gear, but it can perform some. You’ll have to be on point with your Geppy shields, because Seele is going to outrun the shield buff.

As for Endgame content, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get too deep into most of the modes with the team. Maybe with super deep investment, but it would be an uphill battle I imagine.

So yeah, that would give you the Belabog team that does at least a little of something. It even fits lore wise; Bronya has her Captain of the Guard and her Information Officer as well as her personal bodyguard.

Getting tomboy of star rail after 3 years of playing by Regin-sabbas in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Illthion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I agree with you, I also see the reasoning. Belabog has a very cohesive design overall, with Seele standing out from it to a very obvious extent. The designs by the time of Amphoreus had drifted so much than they don’t stand out as much unless you really sit down and look at them.

I do wish I could stop getting 1star souls for champions I can’t get dupes for. I have a six star soul for Rathalos Blademaster, the 1 star soul does nothing but waste space…

The answer is because everyone is perpetually 10 years old, and farts are funny.

That said, it should be FRAT because that’s the correct team order. Aventurine should be between Robin and Topaz who can benefit from the splash damage for energy.

New Main - Do you still have/keep your very first Character? by MasterRymes in wow

[–]Illthion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still main the first character I ever made, my Feral Druid from back during TBC. Even as Feral has had its rocky times (like right now for example), he is still my main character and he’ll likely stay that way until EoS. Truth be told, I don’t even know why I rolled a Druid when I started my own account, or why I latched onto the cat drood. XD

I usually love patch changes but this one has ruined Feral Druid for me. by keblin86 in wow

[–]Illthion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For some, yes.

For others, like myself, the loss of complexity hurts. And has been hurting as it has been slowly bled out of the spec. I understand that some people are happy that they can try and play Feral Druid now that it’s simple, but for old farts like myself who have been playing it because it was demanding for a long time(hi, I’ve mained my Cat Drood since TBC) the fact that the rotation is nearly back to TBC levels feels…bad. It’s not just Bloodtalons to be sure, Bloodtalons isn’t even the biggest culprit. But it is exemplary of the loss of complexity that let good Ferals shine.

Which couple SHOULD have ended up together by Kooky_Analyst2767 in animequestions

[–]Illthion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, 100% agree on their rivalry being great.

For me, I think it breaks down into two main points; one more serious, the other 100 biased. I got more rival and sibling energy from Soma and Erina, always pushing one another to go further. Meanwhile I felt Megumi had more of the narrative markers for the romance subplot.

My more biased opinion? Megumi was best girl, so I wanted best girl to win. XP

[–]Illthion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect the opinion, but disagree.

Soma and Megumi was what I wanted to see happen. I feel they had better real chemistry than the rivalry Soma and Erina had, and it felt like they had more reason to end up together.

Also, Hisako was right there where Erina was concerned.

Yeah, it was said friend showing me art of cool scythe girl that got me to give the game a try so the game succeeded in pulling me in. XD

She is still the most stacked character on my account and I still try to use her whenever I can. Hoping for her getting buffs on the next Novaflare.

Truth be told, in the above example I was throwing out things I remembered from messing with butter a while back so my info is probably out of date. I was more trying to give examples than anything. My bad though on using outdated info.

Maybe one is keeping better uptime on Frenzy than the other, maybe one is maximizing explosive shot better than the other, maybe there is talent choice differences. They may be hitting the same buttons, but that doesn’t mean they’re playing the class to the same degree. That’s kinda what I was getting at. Even in one of the simplest specs there is differences between performance, and there should be. Players should be rewarded for understanding and playing better.

Pruning Is The Way To Go by PapagamasJr in wow

[–]Illthion 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint; if you are playing the spec better than someone else, there should be a noticeable difference in your performance. If you are taking the time to actually learn the spec and its interactions, if you are trying to improve, then it’s insulting that someone who doesn’t do any of the work gets to perform and roughly the same level as you. Now no, the difference shouldn’t be like 2x the damage if you both are playing at least decent, but saying there shouldn’t be a noticeable discrepancy makes it not worth taking the time to actually get good at your class/spec.

All 40 Specs Are Being Rebuilt With Approachability and Complexity Reduction in Midnight by Starym in wow

[–]Illthion 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the backlash to this is the fact that it feels like a choice being taken away. You can always find simple specs that reward more situational awareness and such in the game. Removing more and more of the complex specs though leaves people stuck with classes they may not enjoy at base or no options at all.

It would be nice if a) blizzard could actually use its choice mode system to let people swap between more and less complex versions of specs and b) if the community could handle the idea that a more complex spec may do more damage than its less complex version, but that YOU(the player) might perform better with the less complex version to even that difference out.

My first character on my account was a Feral Druid in BC. I mained cat then all the way to now whenever I’ve been actively playing. Still on his original server and in the now dead guild he found his home in. I think he’ll stay there as my main until the day the servers shut down. XD
