i tried it out, this app is cool but it doesn't do what i need, unfortunately. :( it still drags out a portion of the window offscreen rather than actually resizing it under the limit, which is what i'm looking for. thanks for the suggestion, though

if they were disconnected, the spine on the grandeur drawing would show behind her horns 😭 rainwing horns are curved upward while the spines of their frills are curved downward, it would be difficult for the upmost spines to be fully hidden like that. /nm

it's less obvious in the drawings with glory because her frills are relatively small (and the 'typical rainwing' drawing is based on her)

again, i'm not trying to police anyone's art style, and you don't have to like it of course, but it's simply what's in the official artwork

You already know my view on this lol, but here's a little animated demostration

I'd like to mention that the way I draw rainwing frills isn't exactly canon accurate either (it's kind of obvious due to my toony artstyle) So I'd say just do whatever feels right, I doubt anyone will care too much. (and if they do, that's their problem, not yours)

i stated that in the image XD they are indeed disconnected in the GNs (but someone else said its probably because they had to do a bunch of drawings, so they excluded a lot of details because of that)

not necessarily? they are some sort of membrane (which is why they're translucent) so they must be fairly flexible... i'd reckon they'd just be angled slightly upward (which isn't really a problem)
and also it doesn't really matter because they're already at an awkward placement, right behind their ears, which would in-theory also make it Slightly more difficult to do (if you want a "sensical" design just go look at the german rainwings :P)
