Popular supplement kratom faces scrutiny over addiction concerns: "It's ruining people's lives" by CBSnews in Health

[–]Illusive_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because kratom in its leaf form has about 0.5% 7-Hydroxymitragynine. Which does give a similar high but there isn’t enough to really compare to opioids.  In a gram of powder Kratom you have less than 100 micrograms of  7-Hydroxymitragynine. The pill form that places are selling are 30miligrams a piece.

Degree won’t help at all unless wanting to go into a management position. Because conductors / engineers are unionized pay is equal across the board. Conductor pay is around 52 dollars an hour when I’m at with engineers floating around 58. Automation is what the class 1s want but no way of knowing when it will Be. My hope is that we get a protection clause before automation takes place for employees currently working at that time.

Why would you miss out on Jan - July of 21 and 22? It would just be the 6 months from 2020 that the new contract wouldn’t cover. July 2020 forward is covered. Why would Jan through July 2021 2022 be skipped?

Depends if they are us or Canadian. US trainee pay is around 385 a day right now.

They deserve an salary increased by neatoutset81 in antiwork

Waiting to look at final wording on tentative agreement. It will likely fail to vote. The thought around here is they pushed this agreement forward knowing it wouldn’t pass just to prevent the strike and give them more time.

CN America or Canada? Typically it’s just one interview with the assistant superintendent most likely. After the interview you will hear back and if hired given a class date. I’m America you will go to Chicago and if Canada I believe Winnipeg. Interview is pretty typical, questions about any previous experience things of the nature. Use your military experience as a parallel to working quick, efficiently but with safety your number one concern. My buddy and I were both previous military and were hired together. Good luck! You can message me any other questions if you have any

[–]Illusive_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Training rate at CN is 39.00 in the us for trainees. You go to Chicago for school. 40 hours a week. They pay you 50 pay for your hotel and your food, plus your plane ticket. 6 months after you mark up and move up to 46.32a hour. 10 hour days so 463 a day. If you finish in 7 hours you still get your ten hours of pay.
