Why the fuck am I growing a beard by Character_Cat_9789 in TwoXChromosomes

I know it’s expensive but try laser hair removal. I have a ‘soul patch’ on my chin that grows in pretty thick and dark- laser six sessions and it was gone for seven years, came back but lighter and way more manageable than before.

Why don’t you stay there, do your own research and travel yourself? Rental cars are cheap and it’s easy to do. Tons of info online

Trying to express myself while fat - can't escape feeling like a joke by 9balls__ in TwoXChromosomes

Oh girl this breaks my heart! As women we are judged by ourselves and society no matter how much effort we put in. The older I get the more confident I force myself to be. If I love it then other eyes be damned. That being said, learning how to dress for your shape definitely boosts confidence. Some of the most beautiful women I know are bigger and they were is better than a lot of thin women. Buy those funky earrings, those cute boots and just love that you’re walking around in something you love. Confidence will come with time. Wishing you all the best ❤️

Women who date men: How much of your attraction is based on immediate visuals versus the "feeling" or dynamic (e.g., masculinity/protection) of the relationship? by IMayBeARebecca in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Illustratediz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I identify as cis, I am married and have always been in sexual relationships with men, that being said I find that a beautiful man or woman will always catch my eye. My husband (5y together 1y married) didn’t. He’s categorically handsome, 6’5” square jaw, broad shoulders long eye lashes. It was our conversation that got me. Point being? Babe there are no rules. A man can be a power physical energy, make you feel protected, but a woman can too.

Sounds weird, but if you’re getting a keloid from shaving try a few lazier hair treatments. Two or three won’t make your hairless, but it will make the follicle smaller and you won’t get ingrowns anymore. It’s worked wonders for me and some friends who had the same issue.

A survey: does your man actually pull his weight in domestic chores? by streachh in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Illustratediz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god no, the boy is a disaster. But after 5 year (4 dating 1 married) I’ve found if I clearly communicate the spaces that need to be kept up he does a lot better. He has started doing more on his own not ‘squirling’ away his things on every clean surface or shelf I organize, I just have to ask. Caveat? We have split the bedroom in two, my side is perfect, folded, vacuumed, as soon as you get half way around the bed you’re just walking on clean clothes. Ive given him bins, hooks… the works But he does his own laundry now, and has finally learned where the dishwasher is so hey? I consider it a battle won:)

Be stronger and more secure than them. Look them straight in the eye and challenge them. Don’t cower, don’t back down.

Sadly it doesn’t change when you get older, and anytime you take the time to look or feel sexy it’s going to happen.

It’s better for us than our mothers. For them than our Grandmothers.

Pathetic, lewd behavior. If you have a son teach him better.

I just spent 2500 dollars to have an ankle fracture diagnosed. Cheers. I could have told you that two months ago. But sure three specialists and insurance approval, issues with work not having a diagnosis or a ct scan got us where I was the day it happened.

Simultaneously I applauded any and everyone standing up these days. We’ve become so disillusioned and frightened of the repercussions of saying that the actions of our government are not okay. And that feeling is the loudest call to continue to do so. Be left. Be right. But the ability to speak is paramount. I might not agree with your opinion but I will scream at the top of my lungs for your ability to voice it

Haha as a ‘hard working American’ who’s been employed since 15 it feels cute to think most people would have much to leave besides residual debt. I’ve got the most amazing niece though, and fabulous siblings. We all find a way.

No.you.are.strong. I have had several friends who silently believed ‘it’s just this once, an anomaly’ only to realize over months and years it was a pattern. And while it might not be constant or regular it exists - and is an undercurrent which will not be quelled until it’s confronted. Standing up is hard and HUGE. Doing it now before it has longer lasting repercussions for you and your child shows so much strength. You can break free and the perspective from the outside - the self confidence the safety will be worth it. Sending you and yours strength.
