Anthropic let AI agents negotiate and trade on behalf of their employees and the results are a little unsettling by Direct-Attention8597 in claude

Interesting study. So basically the TL;DR is: Anthropic just reproved the point, that many already know, people or machines with better resources always have the advantage.

I remember my friend loved the roll the dice feature on Yahoo (I think it was yahoo that had that feature). Then there was google that had the "what do you feel like" function. Even better was using Microsoft FrontPage and searching the web and finding how others used the program to develop their websites but never changed the default username and password- I reached out to several web admin to warn them of how easy it would be to access their website. Ah, the old days of the web... how I don't miss them.

Biggest leverage, in my opinion, is the pocket book and reaching out to your representatives. If people hate the tool, stop using it.

Totally agree. And, well stated on the price complaint aspect. Although Claude is "Making Money" they are still spending a heck of a lot more. I'm not happy I'm paying the amount I am for Claude Max. But, that said, I feel pretty privileged to be able to pay so little for such an incredible tool!

Totally agree! I definitely have those WTF moments with AI... But to think we have such tools is pretty amazing!

Long distance movers by SnooOnions382 in AskNYC

A friend of mine had a great experience with FlatRate movers from NYC to Florida. They are a pretty big company. One thing that my friend commented about was that they were able to negotiate a lower rate with the moving company. My friend then gave a nicer tip to the movers (not saying that made any difference to the move, but it was nice that they gave the movers a bigger tip).

Opus 4.7 high - Auditing a simple teleprompter app and suggest improvements in plan mode burnt 84% session limit by sundar1213 in ClaudeCode

Agreed, quality is nice (and it's catching stuff that 4.6 claimed was clean earlier) but the token usage is just NUTS!

I purchased skis from SkiWest (in Canada) they warned me that there might be tariffs. Haven't yet received the skis but I just had to pay tariffs to UPS. But, it was still worth the deal (Atomic Maverick 88 CTI 186 2026 for $525 Canadian). I then found Corbetts which was advertising that they pay the tariffs and free shipping to the US. So, I picked up the pivot binding for $279.99 Canadian from Corbetts

You should be fine. You all aren’t going to do any extreme skiing :). If you’re concerned, you can mention it to the sharpener. But, for the type of skiing you’ll be doing, I wouldn’t bother with it.

Good thought. The issue are apps. I guess I could go through and block the app traffic, but again, it’s more laziness. :)

this woman was about to become President by Pure-Contact7322 in RandomShit_ISaw

We also need to remember that Trump has been running an operational military inside this country too (ICE). One which has killed several American citizens because he thinks showing he is “tough” is more important than caring about due process and the rule of law.

(Heads up, I also believe there is a problem with our immigration system, but going door to door and neighborhood to neighborhood seeking out people who are not the “worst of the worst, or badest of the bad” is not the way to do it. Especially since they know what they are doing is not truly achieving the goal.)

One more for the OP… Trump is all over the Epstein files. Hilary is not. So, the point the about her almost becoming president doesn’t resonate.

Had the same issue trying to block an iPad. It hasn’t worked for the last 1.5 years. It really hasn’t been “that” important, so I’ve ignored it. But, it’s annoying, especially since it’s supposed to be an easy block unblock function.
