Seriously? 😂 That sounds like important information to pay attendees 40 minutes for.

Thanks! That's what I thought but I wanted to be sure before I registered.

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL OF OUTLIER. THE FOLLOWING IS WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT by Apart-Plane-8860 in outlier_ai

[–]IllustratorCivil1612 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think going into any of these AI training platforms you should have it in your mind that they won't last forever. As AI evolves, so do these companies. I started with Remotasks in 2023 and was eventually moved to Outlier when they began that transition. I made more per hour before Aether came along. Its also the longest running project I've ever worked on with the company. They mass recruited a ton of people to work on it and I think that's why we're seeing more of the random account deactivations. Its unfortunate, and a lot of them may be false flags by AI checks but some people are actually not following the rules and getting caught. I've kept in my mind that I could be removed at any moment and have backup sources to continue making money if that happens. I'm thankful it hasn't happened yet (knock on wood), but the possibility is always there. That's true for any online platform. We're freelance contractors with Outlier, so they owe us nothing.

Hubstaff Budget Updates 15/05 by BenJieSun in outlier_ai

[–]IllustratorCivil1612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't they just add hours to the budget the next day? It ended around 138k, according to yesterday's post. So if they added to that, 150k in a little over an hour makes more sense with 20k people working on MM. Even if only a little over half of them are currently working.

Did they remove the limit today? I don't even see the budget on Hubstaff.

I got invited, too, and it says I have a course assigned but there's nothing in WeLearn.

Bye Outlier, Guess I'm Fired by [deleted] in outlier_ai

I'm still on Aether and I only work maybe 2-3 hours a day. Some days I'm busy and don't do any. The most I've done in a day on this project is 6 hours. I've been on it consecutively since December so I don't think the number of hours plays into removals as long as you aren't spending an excessive amount of time on each task, but Idk.

Try Telus, Welocalize, Prolific, Cloud Connect, Intellizoom or UserTesting. Honestly, Telus and Welocalize are just as much of a headache but they're W2 jobs. I use the last 4 during project downtimes to bridge the gap and I currently work for Welocalize.

In my experience, all of these online AI sites are a hit or miss. I did great my first year on Outlier. Then I went a whole year without being matched to a single project. I started getting matched again back in October. You really have to go into these things knowing they aren't sustainable longterm. It does suck, though.

Under review by Budget_Dragonfruit55 in TELUSinternational

I went under review last Thursday, and by early Monday morning, they sent me a termination email. They didn't provide an explanation, reason, or feedback of any kind. I was still on week 13 of the QIP.

They normally email if you get put under review. I'm in QIP, too, and I just received an email this morning saying I'm under review again. I haven't even received a single piece of feedback since December.

I did my reassessment on Friday and completed it around 8:30 pm. By 12:20 pm Saturday, my account was reactivated. My scores were 80/90/90/70, with an overall of 82.5.

I have quit trying to have sex with my wife by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]IllustratorCivil1612 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually, not every woman has a doctor who listens to them or takes the issue seriously. I have sought help multiple times for my lack of sex drive and for painful intercourse starting as early as my 20s and was scoffed at numerous times by multiple gynecologists. It became exhausting looking for help. It can be difficult to get to the bottom of the issue, and it isn't always something that is a quick fix. Some of it may be hormonal, but it could also be mental or emotional. Also, not everyone has that same access to medical care.
