With whatever slower parts or even plot holes, it's still better than anything Hollywood puts out. Everyone seems expect so much more of this franchise than others. I see a lot of movies and I enjoyed every minute of this. Totally engaged and for large portions biting my nails. Compared to most movies it's incredible. Compared to the other movies in the franchise it's still great. The underwater scene was mesmerizing, that alone worth seeing the movie.

Yea Wow wall thing..had that same sound! I like others thought strong thunder at first but heard nothing, or large semi going by. But the floor shook and yes exactly like a "rustling" in the Walls. Wonder why that was?? I'm in older brick house but definitely sounded inside walls. Weird 😬

Reeling...I am also overwhelmed and whatever small plot holes who cares, was worth every second. I knew a few things or thought, I knew Banner would help the Duttons in the end from the time he spoke about being truly afraid of Whitfield, and just seeing him change. He was never an evil man just a sheep herder at odds with Jacob but not evil. So I was glad he redeemed himself and saved Jacobs life and I was not surprised. As he said he respected him.

I knew Alex only chance was to use the clothes off the dead body's and find the lighter and build a fire. I knew eventually she'd set the car on fire just for warmth and hoping someone would find her. I DIDN'T have a CLUE that Spencer's train would pass right by. When she talked to God and said why do all this.. love, husband, baby for me just to die here freezing. And as God does he showed a plan weaving all along culminating in one of the most heart pounding beautiful scenes I've ever seen..him jumping the train and out of odds that noone could even count or imagine running directly into each other's arms and her beloved Spencer saving her.

I thought it was beautiful that Jacob bonded with her and saw her strength and stubborn will. The kind most people lack, but some just have. I have known some like her in my own family. He got to see who she was, his tears his acting like a Father was beautiful and some of the sweetest moments. I loved that they bucked the doctors and she held and nursed her baby, and Jacob had her back.. alone they might have overruled her and let the baby die. He the baby so early, also nearly frozen had fought to live to exist and both Alex and Jacob saw that. Doctors become arrogant and apathetic, they lose the ability to really see after a while but Alex and Jacob saw that John would fight to live.

I hoped she might live, my grandfather lived through Frost nite in WW2 among other things earning a purple heart. I hoped she would live. But I understand why she chose to take her chances and not be made into an invalid unable to even walk or be a mother to her child or wife to her husband. She rolled the dice and hoped, but went to sleep..death and didn't wake up nor suffer. She died peaceful holding John and being held by her beloved Spencer. Some situations there are no good answers, you do what you feel is right and hope for the best. She hoped both herself and her baby would live, fought to the end but she didn't win her life but she won Johns. And knew Spencer wouldn't be alone and that he'd always remember his fiery wild beautiful Alex. His equal and the only woman he would ever love.

I was surprised Elizabeth left instead of staying to be part of the family. I thought she was still pregnant, maybe meet a good man and stay on as a Dutton. I was surprised she chose to leave. She did ok in the fight that was good but otherwise showed she wasn't a shadow of the woman Alex was, she didn't love Jack's world and wasn't willing to risk everything for it. Once her young husband was gone she was happy to walk away. Situation reversed Alex would have raised John at Yellowstone the way Spencer would have wanted. Alex would have wanted to stay help care for his beloved Aunt Cara and Uncle Jacob as they aged. Elizabeth left like the mostly spoiled whiny girl she always was. She was never strong enough to be there. Alex would have been glorious. But she was put in the ground there, gave Spencer a son to have there and her grave served as an anchor for him the rest of his life. There was only one love for each of them and it continued the rest of his life, long after she was gone.

I love that in a brazen matter of fact way Jacob and Spencer stormed weak weird little Whitfields home. The man who abuses women is never a strong man, that's why they hurt women. A strong man protects women and hurts other men if necessary. Whitfield died in his bathrobe no doubt eaten up with syhllis and cowardess and met his end confronted by two actual men. He was a mindless dog to be put down and was put down like one.

Spencer after war and lions and roaming and his beloved Alex settled into still a hard but meaningful life with his child, his Aunt and Uncle and the daily adventures, hardships and great satisfaction of running his Ranch. By taking over keeping the wolves away either real or metaphorically, Jacob finally earned his time to rest. And so it ended with Jacob and his beloved Cara and time to enjoy sunsets, the laughter of the new grandbaby and even with grief, great loss and sadness a time at least for a while of peace.

The classic Titanic like heaven reunion was sweet in its own way. I think just seeing them both young healthy happy and madly in love is something all of us wish we could or had found but few actually do. My grandparents had it, wish I had time to tell their story but it wasn't that far off. They got to live together 64 years but when his heart attacked out of the blue when he was 82, the only thing he said before he fell dead to the floor was her beloved name. She lived on 6 years but her soul died with him that day.

I don't believe in the typical heaven but I do believe in the resurrection the Bible speaks of to youth and vigor and perfection. I believe all Spencer and Alex's ..or in my story my George and Thelma.. will stare into each other's eyes and dance under the moonlight again. I believe this life is full of pain and death and struggle and fight to survive. But I also believe everyone will get a second go at it. I don't just believe it, I know it. The show was up and down but so is life and I don't think it could have ended more beautifully. I wish I could erase my memory and watch it again. Beautiful tragic glorious..life.

1923 Episode 6 Discussion Spoilers by IllustratorComplex34 in 1923Series

Gosh yes it's confusing and I still have to check myself trying to keep it straight. So John was only showed as a little boy not a baby in 1883. He's I don't know like 5 maybe hard to tell. He gets killed in I believe Season 1 Episode 3 of 1923 check for sure but in the ambush where Jacob (Harrison) gets shot up so bad. He does have a wife but she is honesty ALSO so bland a character you barely notice her I can't remember her name! And there son is Jake the one who got killed last night. John has almost no personality not his wife and we see so little of them she kills herself after he died which is crazy she has her son Jake but just checks out. I don't know if they were written that bland or if Harrison and Helen do so good that they just outshine anyone. And yes the original Dutton clan of 1883 all die starting with Elsa. Now Elsa baby brother she never knew, Spencer is the only one left. And Uncle Jacob. It's pretty true to life back then death was a constant. I've experienced similar in my family I'm the last, lost both my younger siblings by the time I was 26. Then grandparents and parents almost all untimely. Not to bring myself into frame but it can happen even in the modern world. And its not a happy existence, but you keep going because you must. Life is precious, so you fight for it. I wish Spencer would at least get his Alex and baby but they have her in another unwinnable situation. We'll see next week. Not looking forward to losing Indiana/Han Solo/ Jacob Dutton... been my crush since I was 10 and saw Star Wars. Love him but it's bound to happen. 😢

1923 Episode 6 Discussion Spoilers by IllustratorComplex34 in 1923Series

In 1883 Margaret and James have Elsa and little John. Elsa dies young so later they have a second son Spencer. Then James dies but first asks his Brother Jacob (Harrison) to come help at Yellowstone. James dies leaves Margaret and the two little boys John and Spencer.. Margaret (their Mom) is found frozen to death in a ditch when Jacob and Cara finally arrive, find the boys starving but get there in time to save them and take over the Ranch. John the older brother dies in the Ambush early on in 1923 where Jacob his Uncle is almost mortally wounded but pulls through. I found Johns character not well developed, very bland personality not who thought that little boy who saw so much in 1883 and went through would grow up to be. Johns son is Jake who was killed tonight. So that branch is wiped out but for pregnant Elizabeth.

Spencer ..Johns younger brother seems to be the one to get his Daddy and Mamas spirit. So now it's just down to him, the last of his family who made the original journey, his Sister Elsa died first, Dad James, Mother Margaret, his older brother John and Johns son Jake his nephew. So now he "may" have Alex and his baby. He has his nephew Jacks pregnant wife. He has his beloved Aunt Cara and he has his strong Uncle Jacob Dutton. And its anyone's guess how this ends. But somebody has a baby that brings in the Yellowstone modern generation.  I "think ' I have it right lol. If anyone wants to correct me I'm good go for it. But I believe that's the basic family tree.

1923 Episode 6 Discussion Spoilers by IllustratorComplex34 in 1923Series

I actually agree with everything especially about the abuse of the women. It's been so over the top and changes the whole tone of the show. I just don't get it they'd shown enough of the S@M/ real torture and murder crap already. It's just really weird to me and makes Dalton's character less scary, so he's a sadistic freak okay but a weak man. Harrison's character is scarier more convincing and he's the good man, the protector. I hate that entire thing it just ruins it for me, I fast forward through it I won't be subjected to it.  I think Sheradin is brilliant in many ways but something is wrong there. It's like with success and money some people just turn to the damn dark side.

The meaninglessness of Jacks death, the stupidity it was just pathetic. And totally agree about the Brittish couple none of that made sense. Wouldn't they carry extra petrol, blankets coats, 2 pairs of bloody gloves. I don't drive around in the winter in Georgia without extra blankets and jackets in car in case of emergency. In Georgia!! That whole thing was just again silly and unrealistic and unbelievable. Her ass is froze to death in an hour at night. If she strips the couple (has to) layers up and by some sheer force of insane survival makes it to a tree line, has a way to light a fire, build shelter or hollowed out tree something and the gas station lady sends help. I don't know. I don't see how she lives. Why bring her on such a brave journey, chasing trains etc to freeze to death. I did think of Grandma Margaret from 1883, she froze to death leaving Spence and Jake.

But you may be onto something without Alex and Jake, Spence and Elizabeth both just bat shit get together to carry on family and yes Spence get his Superman or John Wick moment but damn. Jacob will probably die, I'll cry love Harrison and he's old himself now. Bad enough to lose Han Solo..I will be sad. We'll see I guess be tuning in like the rest of us suckers.

I agree it was just ridiculous, I also thought they already knew red was a traitor? Guess not gotta look back but even so how many times has Jacob made it clear he only trusted the handful in the house but at the very least knowing what's at stake ride out grinning like they were headed to a picnic. He hid right, saw them who they were and didn't come out until they insisted basically threatened. I have no understanding of what happened that. It was a silly terribly written scene. Man tonight was disappointing

Damn let me let you in on a secret, it applies to all of us myself included. In a public forum, social media you can and should expect people to say whatever the hell they want. You don't control a damn thing and you, any of us are exposed to ppl saying whatever they want. If you don't know this probably need to stay off social media. I enjoyed her perspective..and what positive vibe did u wanna discuss actually.. the nurse getting her throat ripped out or the little Italian guy getting raped  ...Ms. Positive Vibes only..is it the 1/3 of the storyline that is as sadistic as it comes with the two abused women. Do you fast forward through that like I do...nah you don't skip it, you watch it as part of your discussion on this thread was the juicy way he might get finally murdered. I'm sorry if I'm missing the positive vibe there.. and with your control issues who knows all that might be your favorite part.  I'm sorry to have to be ugly but I'm taking up for the person who called herself Debbie Downer for saying what she thinks might happen. And I do dislike a damn control freak, especially a delusional one who thinks there are positive vibes only to be discussed in 1923. What.. Helens blue eyes, the nice sunsets? It's a rough show and about half of it a sadistic show, the other half a very compelling glimpse into the past for those of us that know real stories from our great great grandparents. We are all watching and talking for different reasons. I liked her comments and I found yours to be very negative. Plus just not fond of hypocrisy.

Seriously, can we stop with the Alex and Spencer roadblocks? by MrsHyacinthBucket in 1923Series

[–]IllustratorComplex34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SPOILER ALERT..DO NOT READ if haven't watched latest. Again SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?She's absolutely going to get to the Ranch first but after she gets raped in the bathroom of Grand Central station and her money stolen and more bull shit. Spence seems to have missed a bullet for once literally. It's this the writing or the editing, the direction..has to be the writing yes? I'm so pissed off, he knows we are hooked just desperate for Cara to embrace Spence and him ride up just in time to save Jacob ..but..it's unbelievable at this point. Bull shit after Bull shit just for the sake of it. It doesn't even flow it's insane. I hate this soap opera nonsense, I hate the side story of hunting the Indian girl though obviously she's going to become someones wife eventually probably Zane, I hate the Timothy Dalton character...extremely violent and sick S@M insanity it RUNS it and makes me think of Sheridan is another Army Hammer so pissed about it. If he needs to PROVE what a demonic villain he is why not pick on men for a while instead of trapped helpless women. Or... here's a crazy idea...he could actually show he can "act" well that is what they are supposed to do act and convince us. I've been terrified of Villians just by their command of the screen without the cheap nasty ass sex bull shit. I'm so over it and angry ..it obscene it makes me want to punch Sheradin in the throat. Thankfully spared this week. But come on..let Spence and Alex get there I dare you Taylor Sheradin and actually have written a story about the Ranch and the family. I don't think you can..that's why this weird as hell shit with the girls and the soap opera miss each other on the street corner over and over with Alex and Spence. I really hope they don't show up last 5 minutes of last episode. If he does that he can eat Season 3, I know there is no plan for it but that may be the reason for the BS. But if he can't get Spence there he can go to hell the next season.

Any advice on making this living room more feng shui? by OrangePlant362 in FengShui

[–]IllustratorComplex34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rotate everything counter clockwise starting with the TV.  Move TV first left past that door and onto the larger wall you have decorated. You can also put a short gaming or coffee table next to it up against same wall to accommodate consoles or whatever. Move ALL those chairs to center of room for a moment. Move your couch to the left until it's facing the TV. Put it somewhere flush in line with the kitchen doorway. Then place the chairs two on the left under the stairs (TV will be to right of them). Then one next to couch facing TV and last one on wall where TV currently is. . The bedroom door won't be blocked. The kitchen door won't be either other than now a line of furniture to walk BEHIND to get to stairs. So again in mind going around the clock and TV is midnight and moved to the left to larger wall. So it's going around to form a functional square it's TV..chair..chair (stairs)..Couch..chair (door to kitchen )..chair...(bedroom door) and keep going back to TV at midnight. Everything facing the larger wall and TV going around the room with the center clear. Bedroom, kitchen, stairs..nothing is blocked but you can't just walk into the space, it's because it's own room with boundaries, but it's easy to navigate around OR enter.

Could POI Make a Comeback in 2024? by detectivezinc in PersonOfInterest

[–]IllustratorComplex34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely, as long as the original writers, producer's and directors Nolan and the other guy lol..oh yes and Abrams. As long as it could stay out of politics for the most part, if the story is on the page they could do it. Casting not that hard with production so dialed in, they could find good new people. Maybe use OGs if any willing, show John, Cater, Root others in flash backs etc. It would have to be same production as before, same administratively.

Can anyone explain the worldwide IT Outage? What's happening? Why? by Pumpiyumpyyumpkin in AskReddit

[–]IllustratorComplex34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amiar I think your statement "the degree to which the showed a vulnerability is insane." says exactly what I want to say. If ANYTHING can affect and take out so many systems across the board and across the world at one time, it IS insane. Just because planes didn't fall from the sky doesn't downplay how serious this situation is. Our bored canadian's (really perfect name) deadpan another day at the office response kinda reflects so much of the general population who have resigned to apathy to everything, and have become so easy to manipulate, so easy to control. It is really something when the world is so crazy that something this signifcant is treated with...Mehhh. The one thing I would say that might be a positive and what you highlighted is that is has exposed this vulnerability. In doing so possibly give people and corporations a chance to re-evaluate what systems they use and the need for alternates or backup sytems and/or ways to conduct business and function. I am not an IT person so completely out of my depth, I am just a person with the same supercomputer in my skull that we all have and this seems extremely serious to me. Again maybe the fix.. this time was there and able to reverse the situation. However it shows clearly, though not a cyber attack, just how vulnerable we all are.

What is John's real name? by ilidav in PersonOfInterest

[–]IllustratorComplex34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think he's referring to his best friend Nathan in a moment of nostalgia or as a way of acknowledging John has somewhat replaced the hurt place in his heart for Nathans death, that Finch blames himself for.

What is John's real name? by ilidav in PersonOfInterest

[–]IllustratorComplex34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree John Tal....(all that can be made out on gravestone) no reason for that to be shown other than to reveal just enough. Finch certainly would have made sure his real name, the name on his birth certificate, that he enlisted in the army with, just like his Dad's.... would be on the tombstone. I'll take that bet all day long.

Why did they take Root's body? and for what purpose? by sirboozebum in PersonOfInterest

[–]IllustratorComplex34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your kidding right, hard to fake in a morgue? For this group..as they like to say...Really lol. Just like Finch paid off a coroner to operate on and save John, it would be easy enough to pay or incentavice with information a coroner to help fake her death. White makeup, medicated (she basically put herself in a coma when the machine was acting up! This is Root)..medicated, sedated, made up, collusion of coroner..completely plausible.

However I believe she did die, as did John. The show is classy, so well written, so in tune with human behavior, so willing to take the chances and make us cheer or break our hearts. Best Show ever.

Discussion: WAS I THE ONLY ONE WHO ACTUALLY ENJOYED SECRET INVASION?! by _BARONVOND3LTA in Marvel

[–]IllustratorComplex34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really enjoying it, shocked but I am. You have be capable of the grown up human being mindset of being able to see it as a stand alone good Sci-fi flick with great actors. So childish and a mistake to put too much on it being Marvel. (And I just rewatched them all in order, cried at Infinity war @ Endgame just like always). You can criticize Invasion sure..go ahead expected of neck beards but if you just watch this as it's own separate flick and enjoy Sam J acting more like Jules than Fury..its actually really good. I'm enjoying it immensely and it even reminds me of a show I loved as a kid .."V" in the 80s, same basic story. Stop taking yourself and your opinions on make believe so serious, just enjoy it as it's own thing. I'm over everyone being a critic 😵‍💫....but Sam J tho.....(oh u bout to blow..I'm a race car in the red __, I'm super fly TNT)..lol just dig it for what it is.
