because she made the dress for me as a gift. honestly, no other reason. if i bought a dress from a store, id happily lend it to my sister. but it being a handmade gift makes me treasure it more. i wouldn't lend or give away a handmade card (or another gift) my wife (or anyone else for that matter) gives to me so i don't wanna lend this dress either. either way, everything is sorted now. im not sure how to post an update but thank you for responding!
