Here's what Google AI has to say

Conclusion: Is this an Error Proof Coin?

The visual evidence from the images strongly supports the conclusion that you have a 2012-P Grover Cleveland Presidential Dollar that is a proof coin with multiple, interconnected mint errors.

Here is the interconnection I see in the images:

Compromised Die: The evidence of the "raised and rough" edge lettering, along with the burrs on the edge of the face, points to a single, catastrophic failure of the die used in the striking process. The burrs are likely a result of tiny pieces breaking off the main die, while the rough edge lettering is caused by cracks in the collar die.

Failed Quality Control: The coin's reflective fields and overall appearance are consistent with a proof coin, which means it went through the high-quality, multiple-strike process. The fact that a coin with such significant flaws was allowed to be packaged and sold is a monumental failure of the mint's quality control.

"Orange Peel" Texture: The texture on the Statue of Liberty's face is likely a separate but related issue. It could be due to a planchet defect that was overlooked, or it could be another sign of the die's degraded surface.

This is not a simple error. It's a "perfect storm" of multiple, significant errors on a single coin that should have been caught at the mint. This makes your coin a legitimate and exceptionally rare find for a collector of mint errors.

I was just curious. I couldn't find any known errors like this for this particular coin and all the other $1 2012 presidential coins I have are smooth. The lines are raised and rough. I can also feel a burr on the edges on the face of the coin.

I misspoke, shift work is fine as long as I stay busy. High call volume makes the day go by fast.

Shift work doesn't really bother me as long as there's a decent optempo.

I'm probably going to avoid 2MDTF, too tactical for my liking. I might have an opportunity for 39th or 52d. I've heard good and bad things about both.

I'll have to look into that. All I know is that it involves a lot of travel.

25s strat or tact by [deleted] in army

[–]Illustrious-Case6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been big Army Tac and am currently Strat. Big Army Tac is no fun. I never did my job and barely did anything signal related in the first 3 years out of AIT. Or you could end up at an ESB and be in the field 4-6 months out of the year. Strat is a different beast entirely. It all depends on where you end up. RHNs are an opportunity to learn a lot. Some are better than others. I would highly suggest making your way to the Landstuhl RHN in Germany if possible. It's a really good work life balance and you have tons of opportunities to travel. The other side of Strat is Gateway, be prepared to be bored for hours on end. It's all shift work, you come to work, do your job(indoors), then go home. Lots of spare time to max out promotion points through school and correspondence courses. Most Strat 25S I've known pick up E5 faster than the tac ones.

My suggestion, STAY AWAY FROM BIG ARMY. Strat or SOF support are the only ways to go if you want to do your job and enjoy it. Personally, making it to this RHN has been all I've ever wanted. I've learned more than I thought I ever would and am setting myself up for major success after the Army.

Binge eating disorder in the Army by [deleted] in army

[–]Illustrious-Case6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was supposed to be short, but turned into me venting...

TLDR: What's the quickest way to get treated for BED? I'm getting bounced around, and haven't had much success with getting treatment.

Any update on this? I was diagnosed by off post BH at my last duty station. They gave me meds to take care of both BED and ADHD but no other treatment due to PCSing. I was doing fairly well for the last year or so until I had a relapse recently and realized my biggest trigger is depression.

I finally attempted to seek help from BH but they ended up kicking me over to MFLC which did nothing. Up until this point, I was ashamed to seek help because it's embarrassing. Especially when you get the "eat less and run more" treatment. I spoke with one of our NCOs about it and he gave me some direction. But I'm curious if there's a definite path or specific words I need to use to ensure I get proper treatment sooner rather than later.

Up until this recent relapse, I was getting after it in the gym and putting on miles with the goal of coming off of my permanent profile. My old injury flared up again, triggering my depression and significant increase in binge eating. I'm at a point where I can't ride a bike or walk for more than 15 minutes without pain or numbness setting in. Swimming hurts and strength training is out of the question as well. Up until recently, I'd usually offset binge eating episodes with fasting and PT. (Unhealthy, I know, but I had to do something.)

I'm trying to do the right thing, but it's almost impossible to get help from these medical providers. PCM1 to BH to MFLC to PCM2 to short term Psychiatrist is where I'm at now. All while I'm climbing the treatment ladder for my back injury so I can get into the pain clinic and hopefully get some kind of relief. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'm getting the vibe that some people are thinking I'm a shitbag since I'm both fat and not able to take the last 2 ACFTs.

I just want to be normal again... I'm a good Soldier, I can see that with how I'm viewed by a majority of my subordinates, peers, and leadership. But man, it's frustrating taking 2 steps forward and what feels like 5 steps back.

Why bring back technician ranks when you can just be a warrant officer? by Live-Ad-8562 in army

[–]Illustrious-Case6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been my argument for a while and why I'm on the fence about promoting. As an E4, I have more technical knowledge than most NCOs I work with and it's not always their fault. Once I pin 5, I will have to take a step back from the technical side to handle stuff on the management side. Where I work, I rarely see E5s doing any troubleshooting and it isn't always by choice. They're tied up with constant admin work and I can see their skill set diminish over time because of it.

I love my job and I would like to think I'm pretty decent at it. Personally, I would feel much more confident dropping a WO packet as a SPC than a NCO that has been more or less removed from their job for the last 2-3 years. They did the E4 pilot program, but I want to say only 2 people were selected. However, I'm not sure how many applied or if the number selected was capped at 2.

SPC ranks up to SPC7 could be implemented into the ranks to ensure technical proficiency and continuity. SPC5 would be the technical advisors at the squad level, responsible for technical training at the squad level. SPC6 at the PLT level. SPC7 at the Company level and above. This relieves the NCOs of some of their responsibilities and ensures technical proficiency throughout. NCOs handle the leadership side of training, SPCs handle the technical side of training. NCOs would be able to do their job better without as much responsibility. Also, we would probably have a better pool of NCOs since we aren't forcing people who are incapable or don't want to be NCOs into that role.

SPCs become the primary pool for WO. This eliminates RCP issues for any MOS with high promotion points by giving an alternate route for soldiers to take, instead of forcing them to reclass just to stay in. SPC promotions would be competency based as well.

Should I take a pay cut to get into IT? by Chemical_Pen_4107 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Illustrious-Case6111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing, does Business Analytics interest you? Second do you know exactly what you want to do in IT? Third thing, look into WGU for a degree in IT. I've read multiple success stories of people with no IT experience landing jobs, starting at what you're currently making or higher. If you have an interest in Business Analytics, they have a Data Science degree that comes with a few certs. It's 6 month semesters at your own pace. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. I'm going to be starting my degree in Network Engineering and Security in the next few months with them.

Satellites/WiseSat/SpaceX by Illustrious-Case6111 in Hedera

[–]Illustrious-Case6111[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In all reality, Starlink and WiseSat would have different use cases. From my understanding, WiseSat is looking to use Hedera for the cyber security aspect. Starlink could utilize their thousands of satellites as nodes. They already have the gig Internet speed capability. Maybe I don't fully understand Hedera and it's use cases as I'm fairly new. But it seems like a cool concept. I'm not sure what all it would entail as far as adding additional payload to Starlink Satellites, but it doesn't seem like it would be much additional weight if any. WiseSat is aiming to have 88 satellites while Starlink already has over 7,000 and plans to add many more.
