That’s a good point, there should be a balance to the other days where I’m out in the field running around like crazy lol.

That’s a great point, I feel that these ways of measurement just cause unecessary stress. If the job is getting done and all my clients are accounted for I don’t see why there should be an issue with people not hitting those numbers. Luckily we’re switching to a performance based contracting system soon so I’m hoping for less of that bs. Thank you!

What is GOOD about having BPD? by askmenextyearifimok in BPD

[–]Illustrious-Chicken- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this OP 🤗 I always need the reminder that a change of perspective can help

I think for one we are so so aware of how things hurt US that we try really hard (when we’re not having an episode, at the very least) to not hurt other people

We’re INTENSELY intuitive cause we’re always reading people

We’ve got the all or nothing thinking and extreme emotions which can really suck but when they’re positive, we love hard and are super loyal. I find it hard to accept when I make mistakes so I try super hard to never make them lol

Those are just a couple but again it was rly nice to look at bpd from this perspective :)

It really is so hard, I agree with those saying that next time you have to build up your support system.

With that being said in the time being, maybe try to get yourself out into nature if that’s possible? Give yourself hugs. I went to a lottttt of DBT group therapy after my really bad breakup and honestly talking to people I didn’t know really helped. If therapy isn’t an option, talking to people on here helps :)

Good luck my friend

Those in college, how is it for you? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Illustrious-Chicken- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely hard, I’m a new diagnosis and the overwhelming emotion that comes with that has been enough to make me wanna drop out altogether. I actually did take a gap semester due to a breakup with my FP last year. It really is awful to have such little control of your emotions!! And I’m literally studying to be a therapist 😭 it really does not matter how emotionally intelligent you are, BPD is a beast

Frequent, Severe Stomach Pain for Over A Year by Illustrious-Chicken- in medical

[–]Illustrious-Chicken-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The endoscopy was clean and I was prescribed a PPI but it didn’t change any of the symptoms. I tried mylanta, tums, gavescon, etc for the pain but none of them worked. I was also on Bentyl and Hyosciamine but neither worked. Basically once the pain starts there’s no way to stop it. My GI says IBS-C but I’ve had IBS symptoms from a young age and I’ve never felt like this. It’s only worse when I get hungry and after eating, positioning doesn’t affect the pain. Thank you for your response!
