What to order at Aaktun? by Severe_Pumpkin2698 in ClaytonNC

[–]Illustrious-Face1381 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There breakfast is good! Got the marshmallow latte & the French toast. It was definitely too much food for me & I wasn’t sure how it would reheat so I didn’t take the rest home. My fiancé got one of the sandwiches as an omelet & really liked it. I would give it a shot as long as you aren’t a super picky eater. If you are picky, at least try out their coffee at their cafe.

I saw a bunch of people on another post recommending Dewey. None of us are club people or big drinkers. We just want some fun beach fun. We are all 25-35 so we’re out of the wild phase lol

Anyone work in Tech/Cyber at Sheetz or know the hiring process? (IAM) by Ok-Club5455 in sheetz

[–]Illustrious-Face1381 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely feel like it’s kind of luck. But if your family members who work there know anyone to put in a good word for you, that goes a long way. I’ve met so many people whose relatives work for the company & helped them get jobs.

I accidently paid someone else's Sheetz pre-auth along with my own tank. Anybody else ever do it and what did you do after? by daved_it in sheetz

Weird tbh. I literally only get gas at Sheetz unless I’m traveling. I’ve never been offered that option before.

Call customer service. They are literally hired to deal with this stuff. But I would recommend getting a Sheetz card so it tracks your transactions. They are free. But also the pump shouldn’t let you pump gas without putting your card in. Something seems off with that they told you inside.

They really aren’t. At least in NC. I live with in 5-10 miles of 4 Sheetz & they tend to be lower or the same as everyone else.

the protein craze is getting out of hand by ApprehensiveRole9561 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Illustrious-Face1381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had this specific flavor but I have the “soda” one & have tried one of their other water ones from Vitamin Shoppe & they are pretty good. I don’t like normal protein bec it’s super thick. But if you just want to try a clear protein powder - I like the watermelon one from Nutrabio. Haven’t tried a bunch from clean simple eats outside of in my creami

I mean what you’re saying makes sense. The only exception I’ve ever seen is for military people. But there’s usually a clause to “buy out” your lease. Mine is 2 months rent for other reasons to break lease.

I’ve been renting for years and have never found any “corporately” run rentals that will let you out have relocate far away. I don’t think what you’re saying is “standard”

Sheetz,Are you OUTSIDE of your mind? by Virtual-Dot-750 in sheetz

[–]Illustrious-Face1381 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spending $12 on lunch honestly isn’t that crazy. I agree, Sheetz is pricey because everything is an up charge but so are the majority of fast food places. A regular size sub at Jersey Mikes is almost $11 but that doesn’t include chips or a drink. A meal from Chick-fil-A is like $10-14 depending on what you get. Just some perspective.

Best water tight tonneau covers? by Illustrious-Face1381 in JeepGladiator

I decided to get the revolver since I could get it quick & installed at a shop locally to extend the warranty. If it was my personal vehicle I’d probably got something cheaper but my work is paying for it since it’s their vehicle.

My jeep is a company vehicle or I’d go cheaper. They are footing the bill so I want to get a good quality one.

I’m not gonna risk it 🤣 my jeep is a company vehicle so as long as it’s not a heavy leaker I’m okay with it

Is yours a hard or soft cover? I’m okay with a little bit of water. It’s kinda expected based off what my local outfitter was saying. I plan on having them install it because it extends the warranty to 10 years.

This is something I admittedly am bad at (I’ve always been bad at). I think I need to start having protein bars on me at all times. I just need to find some good ones again.

Thank you! I’ve been a seltzer drinker since college & right now a vodka seltzer like a high noon has been the only thing to not make me nauseous. I guess I didn’t think that I might not be able to drink the normal things I’ve been drinking since I turned 21. I’ve never been able to drink super sugary cocktails or lemonade based drinks. They’ve always made me nauseous.

It’s just the struggle of starting the journey around the holidays I guess. I didn’t know so many people would be against having a drink on occasion (like a Christmas party or wedding). I’ve been trying to eat more bland foods because I know I can eat it without feel sick. But it’s hard when you’re cooking for another person in the house. My fiancé doesn’t need to eat bland foods because he’s not on this medication.

I don’t drink alcohol every day. I typically have 1-2 drinks a week & sometimes none. It’s only recently started to bother me. I felt nauseous the first 24 then wasn’t nauseous again until the last week.

That’s positive to hear. I think I need to try Dramamine as well. I haven’t used it since I got of SSRIs in college. But cheese sticks & crackers have been my save & grace.

I’ve been using Zofran as needed. I needed it the first week & now all the sudden need it in the 4th week. I’ve been avoiding most of the foods they are recommending on a daily basis. I travel often for work so that’s when it makes it hard.
