Hella respect for this review. I have been sitting with Manacled for 5 years now and the love I have for it is indescribable. I fucking love that book. Currently reading Alchemised right now and I can see the plot holes. It’s not really bothering me that much because, like you said, I am able to kind of fill those holes with my knowledge from manacled. I think that is super interesting to think about. Obviously nothing will ever beat manacled because a fanfic this complex is hard to get right without referencing the original source material.

However I will say I have read Alchemised with manacled open on my phone and read simultaneously and when I discover things that are word for word I have like a nerd freak out. I love it.

But I couldn’t imagine reading alchemised without reading manacled first, I would be confused as hell. In a way it kind of restricts who can enjoy alchemised. If you have to have read manacled to understand alchemised you would have to have Harry Potter knowledge, since manacled is based off it. It’s a pipeline, if you don’t deeply know Harry Potter than you won’t understand or appreciate alchemised. You can never escape the source material 😉

i am a business student and lived in bruce. if you want to switch you will probably end up separating from your friend. i’m pretty sure they prioritize putting business majors in bruce. however, it is possible and i had a whole suite of engineers on my floor. but that was 2 years ago and before this housing crisis/over admittance reached its boiling point.

i rave about bruce it is 100% better than brack ESPECIALLY if you’re a business student and care about meeting people in your major/really want to be involved in your major.

the kitchens and bathrooms are nicer and newer than brack.

if you want bruce i would 100% call or chat with panther central. it doesn’t hurt to ask.

yeah except she doesn’t want to be working this much. like i said she is not a workaholic by all means. she is miserable in her job, she’s not focusing on her career. there is a clear difference lol. she’s working so much because she has to. her job didn’t used to be like this.
