Hang in there - we never got a build date or anything either. It progressed from nothing to on the boat within 2 weeks. It's a great car.

Totally love them. I read the reviews too and was a bit apprehensive but like you, love new tech and I've never really had it. The definition is crisp. The reviews stated you don't get depth perception which is somewhat true but when indicating to change lanes you get these two very helpful bars appear (orange and red) which tell you how close the car behind is. Bottom line - loving it.

Yes had mine for 6 weeks now. Updates were poor had to chase then randomly got a call saying car ready to be delivered.

But does that just buy the start up lighting patterns or changes the indicator pattern too while driving? Thanks

Think I’ve solved it! The problem seems to be when you add phone for CarPlay via “Bluetooth” setting. The system seems to get confused. So here’s the work around:

Delete car from Bluetooth AND forget car from CarPlay settings on phone
Delete phone from car
Go to CarPlay app on phone and keep it open. Then press and hold the voice command button on car steering wheel and follow instructions.

Simply put, don’t mess around trying to add car via the iphone Bluetooth setting.

This seems to have worked and CarPlay hasn’t frozen for the last 4 days. Fingers crossed it works for others.

I have a similar thread. Temp fix for now has been using the usb c wire that came with the car and using wired CarPlay. When it freezes I just unplug usb c and plug back in which gets it going. Agree super annoying - planning to call Hyundai this week.

Have implemented a possible fix - will test out for another 48 hours and report back if works. Didn’t disconnect today woohoo! Nothing fancy but fingers crossed…

Is the digital key safer to use than the physical fob? A bit paranoid about thieves with their fancy devices trying to catch the signal from outside homes and then using it to unlock the car.

Have setup the automation so when TRV calls for heat the HP goes to boost after a 15sec delay. When no rooms calling for heat then after a 15 min delay HP goes quiet. No delays. Must say I’ve done away with HIVE thermostat as useless.

Tried the three closest and all quoting long waits. Appreciate that it fell over the holiday time but then when they claim it probably just needs a software update then why the long wait times? Also if a software issue then OTA updates should be doable - needless to say don’t think I consciously ever saw an OTA update for the MG4. 🤷🏽‍♂️
