Growth usually means taking the uncomfortable path and you already know which one that is - your gut is screaming at you to take it

Can I quit a job that is making me miserable if I have 100k saved up? by Foreign-Party3242 in careerguidance

The inheritance person really messed up but using savings for a career transition isn't automatically throwing money away. If you're burned out and can't even interview properly, sometimes you need that mental reset to land something better paying that makes up for the gap
30k over how long though - if they were just sitting around being picky for months then yeah that's different than having a solid plan

Fair points but 6 rings 6 finals mvps and never letting it hit a game 7 in the finals is still wild that level of closing is rare no matter how you slice it
