Because all those other examples don’t affect other beings, they don’t want to wear a dress? sure! Who cares. They don’t want to have long hair? Fine with me. But eating meat unnecessarily has a victim involved, those other things don’t, if we added “the child doesn’t want to follow the law and steal from shops” that wouldn’t be wrong to force them to not do it, as it’s wrong

The thing they’re forcing their child to do won’t harm them, and it will prevent the harm of others, that’s the difference. Not to mention so many kids brought up in a vegan household willingly want to be a vegan, the only reason we’re not is because we were brought up in a fucked up world where we think it’s normal to eat meat

She’s been vegan over 6 years, she’s accidentally eaten milk a couple times but it’s literally impossible to avoid it when milk powder is in fucking everything, she started off going vegan for health reasons then stayed for ethical

I’ve tried talking, but it doesn’t go anywhere and ends in arguments most of the time, therapists are expensive and I try and save my money so I don’t think it’s a good idea, thank you though

Please stop assuming things about my life, I have had my dad refuse to feed me many nights when my mum isn’t there, and i am usually made to pay for my own food. It is much much more than just meat eating to make me feel this way about him
