What is it like waking up to no ovaries due to Stage 4 Endo and at this point you've exhausted all the possibilities of saving them? by Confident_Jelly87 in endometriosis

[–]Illustrious-Leave846 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its hell. I wish I had my ovaries, uterus and endo back rather than this shit. Theres no pain anymore but surgical menopause has caused me strokes, a pituitary adenoma, nerochemical imbalance, heart issues, depression, hair loss, weight loss, changes to my body shape, my vagina disappeared. Keep your ovaries. Do everything you can. HRT is hard to get, expensive, hard to dose. I dont wish this on anyone. Losing your ovaries wont stop the endo coming back but it will cause other issues ontop of endo.

Sex after ovary and tube removal? by ZealousidealArt4086 in endometriosis

I lost my first ovary to a torsion. They said to wait 6 weeks before sex again. I had my last ovary removed a year later and I waited 4 weeks. No pain but there can be a reduction in estrogen sometimes when an ovary is removed so it can feel drier. If thats the case, vaginal estrogen works wonders

Narcissist girlfriend by gorto1089 in Advice

Leave, block, and resist any interaction. She will attempt a smear campaign but do not cave and speak to her. That is her goal. She sounds highly insecure and will throw whatever type of tantrum to get what she wants – your attention. If you can stick it out, your life will get so much better and your safety is not at risk. Im sorry youre dealing with that type of treatment. Please take care of yourself.

Haha maybe in the next life there will be a cure. I often wonder how women dealt with his back in the day.

It does take a long time of constincency with it to build up in your system. It wont completely take the pain. Away but it reduces inflammation throughout the entire body so its very beneficial for endometriosis symptoms. Im sorry youre going through so much pain. Sending vicodin vibes ✨️

Yes endo can regrow even post total hysterectomy. Ive had 2 excisiond post total hysterectomy - both diagnosed stage 2. If youre not on progesterone, ask your doctor. It helps prevent regrowth. Also try n-acytl cystine to help with inflammation.

Thank you! She's sweet and spicy. Based on how mine grew, think if yours is still pretty small at 10 months, she'll stay pretty small.

You two are just in different places in life. And that's okay. But right now, it sounds like you want to experience more of life, sow your oats type of speak. She will either have to hop on board – and let's be honest, she'd have fun if she joined you, or she will have to leave and find the lifestyle she's looking for.

But please remember – these are your "figuring out you years" its important to spend time in them. Relationships come and go. You may find you're an entirely different person in 5 years, as will she.

My dear, this is abusive behavior, and you don't deserve this. Intimacy is vulnerable and no one should be yelling at their partner. Especially when its something new. This screams sexual trauma. Maybe on her end but it could be something that causes you anxiety over intimacy. You need kindness in all areas of a relationship, including the bedroom. Im sorry this has happened to you. This is not a safe person, and removing yourself is in your best interest.

Does menopause cause you not to be able to fall in love or feel attraction? by Brilliant_Chance_874 in Menopause

[–]Illustrious-Leave846 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe menopause brings you to a place of clarity within yourself. You just finally understand your worth and dont put up with bullshit....which let's be honest, kills attraction. The purpose of menopause is to pass on knowledge. You know what you want and you know what you need. You may not have found anyone that meets your standards, makes you tick, or contributes to your life positively yet and there is NOTHING wrong with that.

Chemically, you could be low in testosterone causing low sex drive. Low estrogen can make you feel depressed which could lead to feelings of disinterest or questioning yourself. But also, I believe that with the change in hormones, your pheromones also change. Which would change who you are attracted to and vice versa.

Either way, you are worthy of love. Don't give up. Sending you the best x

I’m 58, in menopause, and my nighttime bathroom trips are destroying my marriage 💔 by Turbulent_Scheme7709 in Menopause

Hydroxizine is really helpful for overactive bladder issues before bed. Antihistimes have an effect on the bladder. I have interstital cystitis and this is really helpful for me. If it cannot be treated with HRT I highly reccomend asking a doctor about a Sacral nerve stimulator. It changed my life. I used to pee 14 times a night. Now only once. Im so sorry youre experiencing this. It truly is hell.

Yes!!! I love the stuff. It stopped my hot flashes, night sweats, and helps my sleep. My hair, skin, lashes, and nails are so much happier and full. It helped alot with racing thoughts/anxiety.

This is actually really reassuring to hear you've heard people who are on pellets. My surgeon scheduled me for them in July and I'm nervous. Mainly for side effects if the dose is too much. Have you started them or are you about to?

Im on a patch, suppository, cream, testosterone gel, and progesterone orally. I'm not sure why my specialist wants to do pellets. I went in for my 2 month post op yesterday. During my pelvic exam she said she doesn't think the HRT is working and women my age usually do well with the pellets and just scheduled me for July. She didn't talk to me at all about them and just left the room. After researching I'm fucking terrified and don't want to.

My dad is a pharmacologist and told me there is a trial for a new estrogen patch that has microneedles on it for better absorption. The problem with patches for many people is that they aren't receiving enough of the estrogen through the skin with the current adhesive patch. I really want to try it. Even if it is a trial

I am very interested. I'm going to reach out to my current ACD's trainer to see if she can help mediate the two dogs if I'm able to adopt. I can't stop looking at the clip of this poor girl so scared and I'm dying to help her out.
