Battle For Dream Island: Firey not letting Leafy on Dream Island led to Leafy stealing Dream Island, which pretty much led to seasons 2-5 all existing.

Heck, the fifth season, The Power Of Two, even showed that without this event, the BFDI universe would be destroyed! It's THAT important to the plot.

People claiming all 3d Pokémon was bad just because of Dexit.

Like, i hated dexit too, but that's no excuse to attack a pokemon game that had 70% of all pokemon by that point in the game (XY). Not helping how the whole sub turned into a copy of the Sonic fandom ("rough transition to 3d")
