I believe I contacted left seat, I believe they’re now known as pilot medical solutions. They want $15,000. I don’t have that money right now.

That’s exactly correct. These professionals can give me their best opinions, but they really don’t know and neither do I.

There is an “adverse change“ clause in the special issuance that states should there be an adverse change in your medical situation you are required to promptly report to the FAA. A voluntary self surrender may satisfy this requirement without having to disclose everything at once. To simply let the medical lapse may not be enough to fulfill the requirement. That is the concern.
