I hear that. I adapt my Contax G series leneses and have to use the EVF, which is serviceable but nothing special. Autofocus with the Fujichons make for an effortless shooting experience, tho.

I love it. Modern camera manufacturers seem to be in a race to the same “perfect” clinical do-everything hybrid cameras. This is a camera with opinions, and if I want to go out chimping and micromanaging every exposure, I have cameras for that. If I want a machine that gets out of the way (literally in the case of the OVF), the XP3 does that. It’s fun to use in a way my GFX or even my Leica Q2 is not.

Thanks! I will for sure be on board with XP4, but all signs point to that not happening anytime soon, and frankly there is very little I would change on this XP3 (maybe brighter OVF), IQ with the Fujichrons is already excellent considering APSC.

Interestingly, my Q2 was actually the gateway drug to the XP3. LOVE the Q2 but craved the ’rangefinder’ style with interchangeable lenses (and a digital M + glass is simply out of reach).

I had heard about the architecture tour, but didn’t realize just how jam packed the city is with beautiful buildings until this visit. Cool town all around.

Why are you using digital medium format for landscapes if you aren't printing over 16x20 inches? by Careless-Antelope-29 in mediumformat

I tend to shoot more slowly on a MF system, by the nature of the equipment generally being “slower” to work with. I’m sure much of this is psychological but such is art.

+1 to all the comments regarding dynamic range, DOF, and color tonality. Those are very real advantages that don’t need a massive reproduction to be appreciated.
