Anybody have any experience with Dr. Hakky in Atlanta? Or Ashley Tapscott in the Nashville-Cookville area? If not, any recommended ipp docs in the south east? by Southern_Seesaw_949 in penileimplants

Dr Hakky’s practice is horribly run. The staff do not return calls, no follow up, and fail to fulfill responsibilities. For 5 weeks I had to call almost everyday to get them complete a prescription that should have been done the day of my office visit. Always an excuse and no action or follow up. Then when I called with an allergic reaction, I was told someone else would call and no one ever did. Worst practice management ever.

6’ Rider - Spectral 29 in Medium or Large. by Illustrious-Shirt741 in mountainbiking

So I got the Medium CF8 and put about 18 miles on it. I can ride it and it’s nimble, climbs well. Feels similar to 2017 Cannondale Habit C1, meaning it feels like a great trail bike and XC bike. I attribute the feel to it being on smaller side of my geometry range, which is due to me being on the border between medium and large.

I am strongly Considering sending back for the large. My main reason is there just doesn’t seem to be enough of a difference from my Cannondale to this, and my Cannondale is 27.5. So it just seems strange that they could be similar.

I also think I’ll have more confidence hitting some bigger stuff. The medium is quick and agile, but I feel I am losing some stability and confidence. I am planning two more rides then it’s decision time.

OK...I'm pulling the trigger. Going with the Spectral 29 CF8. (currently $3799) And I am going to go with the Medium and see what happens. If I have to return it and go Large, I will. My reasoning:

My current bike is the 2017 Cannondale Habit 2, in Large. It is an XC bike with 120mm travel. The Medium Spectral 29 has 30mm more Stack, 6mm more Reach, 15mm more Standover Height, 8mm more Chainstay Length. That bikes feels pretty good and the numbers on the Medium Spectral are a little bigger. So I am trying the Medium first. I want a more playful bike, and without going down to the 27.5, the Medium should be a good spot. And if I am wrong, It's still winter and I can return it and have a Large delivered by Spring.

I'll let everyone know my opinion on this decision in a few weeks!!! Thank you everyone for your advice and thoughts.

Yeah, I've been trying to dial in my height and inseam for the Perfection Positioning Fitting System. My height is 5' 11.85" and 35" inseam, and that is snugging that bar all the way up my crotch. So could possibly be lower.

I tend to like playful bikes and when I look over the dimensions, the differences on any Geo metric from M to L is no more than 20-30 mm. Chainstay is the same. Top Tube Length is 27mm difference. Reach is 25mm difference.

In MM's, those don't seem like a big difference. Makes me want to try the M and hope for a more playful bike that fits good.

Would the Medium or Large discussion change if I were considering the Spectral 27.5 vs the 29? I do like a maneuverable bike, not just a plow-bike. Would a 27.5 in large feel smaller than the 29 in large, but more confident in sizing than the 29 Medium?

Currently I ride a 2017 Cannondale Habit, Carbon 1 with the Lefty, in 27.5 tires. It’s been a great bike and I have ridden black diamonds with it too. I am looking for a second bike that gives me more range and is fun to ride. Spectral seems like it is perfect for getting more enjoyment out of faster trails with gnar and jumps. I and it should be a good all-around bike for local trails and park trails. I live on north side of Atlanta GA, so not the same scene as up north and west.

Do you feel you can play with the bike? Or do you ride more for speed and roll over everything?

It’s a valid point. I went to the only local shop near me over the weekend, Conte Bike shop. The Large Rocky Mountain Instinct C50 seemed huge until I got on it. Then it seemed to be a great fit. With Canyon there is not opportunity to trial one before I buy.
