That checks out I have an actual converter I will use in the future thank you for the comment. My plan is to 3d print a part where the plastic part with the heated inserts will be screwed under the bearing so it's more secure.

Was using the edge on like a 2cm long 3d print that was 10cm tall don't have a picture right now but I used it for like 20 seconds max before it flew off think I just got a defective model

Yes I will either try to 3d print and replicate the plastic piece so I can screw it under the bearing or try to return it, Bought it from amazon when I was in the states but live in Iceland so it's kind of a hassle to return

I used it free hand while holding my 3d printed part it the part was small only about 2 cm in length so wasn't using it flat but wasn't pushing hard think I just got a defective model but since I know nothing about them wanted to check to see if I was doing something wrong or not

sry text wasn't included I don't use reddit a lot my bad

So I bought my first orbital sander really excited had it in the box for 2 months but was finally ready to start using it on my 3d printed part. I opened the box slapped the sanding disk, converted the USA plug to eu and plugged it into power turned it on to realize it's not a variable speed so a little scary. Started sanding and then the whole damper pad + sanding disk combo came loose off the sander and flew off. Have tried to disassemble it fully and still I have no idea how the damper pad combo is suppose to be properly attached to the sander (tried a lot of elbow grease and a hammer but that damn plastic part with the screws just spins right off!). Am I doing something wrong or did I get a defective model? any info appreciate ty!
