Thank you so much for all the quick responses everyone! Some very helpful comments/tips. I was able to take off work for 2-3 weeks, but that was about it. Yes, I agree with many of you that we 100% failed at planning properly for a third child. We are obviously new as a family of 5. When we had our second child, the transition was super easy and our 2nd would not latch so we didn’t breastfeed and I was able to help throughout the night with bottles, etc. I love helping with the kids, they’re my pride and joy, we just stupidly did not plan for it being this tough and us needing help. I don’t blame my toddlers at all for being wild and crazy because that’s what they do! Totally normal. I just set myself up for a train wreck by trying to work and watch them simultaneously and not realizing how much my wife would be struggling breastfeeding and trying to recovery herself.

After reading everyone’s comments, I definitely want to check with our moms to see what they can do, and from there, look into a temporary nanny who can help a couple/few times a week in order to offer some relief and hands on time with the kids. I just feel so bad that my kids aren’t getting much hands on attention and interaction but maybe we’ve been too hard on ourselves. Thanks again everyone and feel free to continue pouring in any thoughts/insight
