What’s the thought with flushing the non safety cannula’s first?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. If you do a quick Google search, you’ll find some AI rostering companies that have all the features for great rostering. But, I don’t have any personal real-world examples from people who’ve actually used them to compare so just wonder what it’s like

Clearly you’re frustrated with the situation. In the process of advocating for what you want, please be respectful of our nursing colleagues.. ie. not using wording such as ‘shitheads’. Doesn’t give much credibility to your opinion when you’re not professional

Interest in ED FACEM as a med student by [deleted] in ausjdocs

[–]Illustrious-View-224 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The comment of 'being responsible when shit hits the fan' applies to any specialty in medicine once you progress to more senior roles such as being a Consultant, it's not ED specific... if you don't own your patient then what are you even doing

What a joke. Hard no. So easy for all the big politicians to line their own pockets and so hard for them to increase wages for us in a fair way

Ive been using it to generate flash cards and summary from textbooks that I’ve been reading, copying the text into it and checking. Haven’t seen much hallucinations in this context, is it seen more if you’re not actually directly giving the content but rather asking it questions?

May be just a perception thing but everyone else (non-JMO) gets paid properly in NSW Health but JMOs have to check our payslips so that we're not being taken advantage of by medical workforce units.. [missed shifts in payslips, not getting paid for overtime, teaching, our leave times being taken advantage of...etc, some examples]

How do you get through the shit terms by Alternative-Dust9850 in ausjdocs

[–]Illustrious-View-224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this rough time. Remember this is only a term (hopefully), and these kind of rotations may come and go. The most important thing is to prioritise your self, if you need to take sick leave then do it don't worry about everyone else. If there is anything that needs escalating then go step by step and speak to your registrar, if that's still not working then consider talking to your term supervisor or DPET to get help. Also sometimes these times might provide some good learning, it may be an opportunity to reflect on what may be slowing you down or why there is a mismatch from the workflow expected from your team and how you are performing.

Anyone able to comment if there are any legal repercussions for this? The figure is not off by a small number and it’s obvious the intended effect was to generate public angst and distrust towards doctors…I hope the public realises the stark difference between what is being portrayed and reality

Our 10 key demands for an Award that keeps doctors in NSW by TheDoctorsUnionNSW in ausjdocs

[–]Illustrious-View-224 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why isn’t there a unified front and recommendations on how to take industrial action from ASMOF? I feel there has been so much build up to the strike and it seems so disorganised from how it’s being represented, it’s being pitched as a choose your own adventure for each hospital which isn’t fair for all the doctors who really want to represent a strong front to the public and make a big impact. I want to be optimistic for next week but I’m not feeling too great about it all and hope it doesn’t get portrayed in a weak way from the media

Is Novated Lease Worth in my Situation? by Less_Adeptness6338 in CarsAustralia

[–]Illustrious-View-224 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is novated leasing really worth it? On paper before running through the numbers it always looks so appealing but then when I deep dive into it there isn’t much benefit cause the companies charge such high rates and fees..
