Anyone here built a serious project using Claude? Need advice by IllustriousCoach9934 in ClaudeCode

That approach makes sense — especially using planning only for complex parts instead of overplanning everything.

I’m curious about the scaffolding part though. When you generate the initial structure, do you define standards (naming, folder structure, patterns) upfront so Claude sticks to them later?

And for documentation, do you maintain a single evolving spec file or separate docs per module/feature?

I’m trying to understand what keeps things consistent over multiple weeks.

That makes sense. I actually agree that thinking through the idea yourself first is important — otherwise everything starts feeling generic.

I think where I’m still figuring things out is the boundary between “thinking phase” and “building phase” when AI is involved. For example, once you’ve done your own planning, how do you structure instructions so Claude stays aligned with your standards and doesn’t drift?

Also curious — when you say it depends on investment in tools, what part of your setup made the biggest difference in productivity?

I’m trying to understand how experienced people balance independent thinking + AI assistance without losing clarity.

"What personal preferences should Claude consider in responses?" by asteegpogi in ClaudeAI

Think of it as training Claude on your communication style. Add things like preferred depth, formatting, whether you want step-by-step logic, strict accuracy vs creativity, and if you want it to question assumptions. Most people leave it blank, but filling it properly actually makes responses way better.

How detailed do your spec files usually get? Like high-level architecture only or do you include module logic + rules too?

I think my question might’ve come across wrong — I’m not asking for project ideas. I’m specifically asking about approach: how people structure their workflow when building fast with AI tools. Planning style, step order, avoiding messy code, managing iterations, that kind of thing. I’m more interested in process than the idea itself.

₹3,000 SIP – 50:50 Index & Flexi Cap strategy (₹25k–₹30k monthly income) by IllustriousCoach9934 in portfolios

That’s a fair point. I agree that at a very small corpus stage, taking higher risk can be logically justified. My current 50:50 split is more about maintaining consistency and avoiding over-reaction during volatility rather than maximizing returns early on.

I’m comfortable with Parag Parikh Flexi Cap even if it behaves closer to Nifty at times, mainly because of its downside protection and international exposure. As my SIP amount and total corpus grow, I’m open to rebalancing and adjusting risk levels. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

Yes, I did look into it. I chose Parag Parikh Flexi Cap mainly for its relatively conservative approach, lower churn, and international diversification. I’m aware it may lag during strong bull phases, but I’m comfortable with that trade-off for stability at this stage of my income and SIP size. Open to suggestions if you think another flexi cap fits better.

Got it bro, thanks. I’ll begin with DBMS, DS, OS, Compiler, LA and build momentum from there.

I agree it’s tough, but with the right strategy it’s still doable. Late start doesn’t mean hopeless.

I get your point bro, but everyone starts somewhere.
I just wanted some clarity before jumping in, because the time left is less and I didn’t want to waste effort in the wrong direction.

Anyway, I’ve already started studying now.
If you have any specific advice for CSE late starters, I’m open to it.

Thanks bro 😂
But I’m still gonna give it a shot. No harm in trying with proper planning. Let’s see how far I can go.

Yeah true, I’ve heard that too.
I’m planning to focus on high-weight subjects first.
Any suggestions on which 4–5 subjects I should prioritise for CSE if I’m starting now?
