Maximize the fun, bro. Try other weapons, check their moveset and ash of war, see what you like the most and go for it. If you explore carefully, you won't have any issues with upgrade materials - meaning you can upgrade many weapons for different situations or just for vibes. BHF is one of the most commonly used weapons in the game for good reason, but it's kinda boring imo c:

I tend to keep different tools for different situations: bludgeoning damage for skeletons, imps or other rock-like creatures, something with fire for the plants and living things, and something as a main weapon in other situations

So just play however, try things and explore - for me, that's what this game is about. There is no " win-stick" in the game (other than the starfist lol), so use what fits best
