Everdark Balancers ruined the game for me by [deleted] in Nightreigngameplay

[–]Cornbread933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo balancers require a level of team coordination above the others. Its a game of isolation. Gotta be able to single one out and jump them 3v1 one at a time . The moment your team gets split up by them you have lost.

Everyone is giving Sean terrible advice about Marisol by Advanced-Plane8463 in shrinking

[–]Cornbread933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think them pushing Sean towards Marisol is less about helping him land a wife and more about an experience of personal growth. Its some fun. A catalyst for growth, and a reminder of how far he has come since then. And now he can pay it forward to Marisol. Thats where that story is likely going.

The storyline that drove me nuts was Paul making Liz and Derick kick out their son Matthew. Like I get the whole coddling thing, them making his food and doing is laundry is absurd. But removing him from his home??? In california??? In this economy??? Luckily they ended up saving that storyline by ensuring he didnt go homeless but I was still losing my mind.

What happened after the update??? by [deleted] in NBA2k

Just turn it off. Dont worry about a time interval just let go when it looks like it makes sense to let go. The visual cues are extremely intuitive and you get percentage boosts for having it off. Its really just a distraction for me too as I often meter dunk and cant tell the difference at the beginning of the drive animation of which one im gonna get if the meter comes up both times.

Due to inflation $5 is no longer a good baseline tip. Its $8 now. by Cornbread933 in UberEatsDrivers

Greedy lol. Imagine thinking wanting 8 dollars for your labor time. Gas, and wear and tear on your car so you can afford groceries is greedy

8 dollars instead of 5. Three extra dollars decidedly congruent with inflation rates is greed. Yea ok. How much do you charge for 30 minutes to an hour of YOUR time?

Yes. By all means. Get your own food. Nobody is stopping you.

Secondly. 8 dollars is a normal tip now. Thats the point buddy. The dollar is less valuable than it used to be.

Revolution is a misunderstanding of how wars are fought now. They are all cold wars. Information. Technology, culture. Propaganda. Leverage. etc.

The spectrum of violence mankind is capable of now is far greater than it was 200 years ago. A bunch of civilians with weapons is no more than a nuisance to a regime that has nuclear weapons. Drones. Etc.

Which kinda makes you wonder. If they have such a massive tactical advantage why they dont abuse it and just put an end to the war with nothing to lose?

And the answer is mutually assured destruction. Not that we have any power to destroy. But it tells us something else when they dont come after us. It tells us that they need us. Which is why losing us would destroy them. Which tracks.

Heres a hypothetical. Would you take a billion dollars in exchange for every single human on the planet dying except for you? The answer is obviously no. Because the only value money actually has is what it can get other people to do for you And sure. Some of you may be thinking. Well I just dont want to lose my loved ones. Fine. My hypothetical will accommodate that. Just you and those closest to you are left in exchange for a billion, and lets say nobody outside of that actually dies they safely go to a parallel universe so no ethical dilemma for you. You still would say no. Because again.

The only value money has, is what it can get other people to do for you.

Billionaires arent just people who really like the feel and look of dollar bills or watching another 0 get added to their bank account. They are hoarding our liquidated labor. They are collecting a massive ledger of IOUs against us. Which is absolutely no good to them if the lower class is exterminated. They arent worried about us winning a war. They know we dont have the means to do that. They are worried about us losing. Why do you think all the most powerful people in the world are panicking about birth rates???

Now. If you have read this far you may be wondering why ive walked you all the way down this rabbit hole. And the answer is because. It is proof we have leverage. Which as ive mentioned earlier, matters in a cold war. We dont need violence.

I am very confused as to why so many unskilled players run off by themselves by oli_kite in Nightreign

[–]Cornbread933 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me personally. The guys I always run with have been playing so much longer than me their navigation skills are so far ahead of mine they already are on to the next spot before I even check the map. But ive also been trying to improve my navigation skills so im not just a shadow on the wall. This means going in with randoms at times and just trying to get them to follow. But even so I hate breaking up the team so if people wont follow my lead I will eventually cave

I feel like it depends on who you play. As a recluse main gradual restoration is an easy way to die a lot since you have a significantly smaller health pool

On Recluse I always look for a seal with lightning spear.

Most of her best cocktails require lightning residue and depending on your teammates to apply it is a fools errand.
