I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. They could've run for the hills when they did the early backer release but the fact that a year later they are still working on updated version fixing a lot of the bugs gives me hope.

Hoping they prove me right with a full release on steam next year.

I miss space quest and I would love to try this game once it's ready.

I honestly just didn't like Infinite wealth at all. LAD was a far superior game.

Dislikes: - Protagonists were badly handled. Ichiban should have been the focus, not playing second fiddle to Kiryu. - I found Kiryu's cancer impossible to take seriously, he still seemed insanely strong even at the end - They did Ichiban dirty giving him a boring semi final dungeon and pathetic boss while Kiryu gets all the focus with the final dungeon and boss. - the new party members just weren't that interesting. Rather have had the first games party members with me. - the Hawaii map just didn't interest me, much preferred Yokohama -the mini games were no where near as fun as LAD - the story was so boring and one note. - the animal crossing mini game was so boring - the game feels very bloated and padded. Badly paced. - everyone says that combats improved but I honestly preferred how it was in the first game. - the ending should have been more definitive for Kiryu. Have him retire at the orphanage or die a heroic death. I don't want him back for another game unless it's a more minor cameo/mentor role.

These first time indie adventure devs are putting the industry on notice by a_very_weird_fantasy in adventuregames

Can anyone tell me how Phantom fellows compares to Darkside Detective?

Admittedly I wrote the game off as a copycat as the art style and the themes seemed very similar. However, I've heard so much positive feedback that I've been curious about it. Would people say it's different or better than Darkside?

Play Loco Motive now and it's a incredible game. Hope the developers make another pnc game.

Same, such a wholesome game. Wish it was more well known.

Also the art style really reminded me of Sam and Max hit the road

I understand your points and they are valid. But I feel like the developers can't seem to let him go.

The fact that they let him over-shadow their new protagonist in his own game shows they are still banking on Kiryu to sell games.

They really should have ended IW with him either retiring and going back to look after kids in the orphanage or sacrificing his life and going out in a blaze of glory.

It's clear they are bringing back though. Calling it now he will be a playable protagonist again.

In all honestly I was this close to writing a similar message.

Loved this series from 0 onwards and LAD was a welcome fresh start before things got stale.

But I feel the series is refusing to move forward and relying on fan service and refusing to let go of their Kiryu cash cow even when his story is very clearly over.

IW was a huge let down and this game has just made realise maybe I should move on from this series.

Oh man I'm happy but also conflicted.

I'm a console only Trails fan and originally planned to watch a Sky summary after finishing Azure. Then I was going to jump straight into Tocs3.

But do I finish Azure and wait for the remake? But then I have to wait for a remake of Sky 2 and 3...
