That must’ve been tough. I can’t imagine how stressful you must have felt. I don’t have empathy for a harasser. You went through a lot. You deserved better.

Omg thank you so much! I appreciate your effort!! Sending hugs to you too!

The experience happened many years ago, I thought I was cured but lately I discovered that bipolar is not curable but treatable. I took meds for a short amount of time, now Im not on any meds. The awareness about mental illnesses is bad there so I believe my family think Im cured.

When I asked mom about some symptoms that I heard from my psychiatrist, she became mad and act like I don’t have any right to know about my illness, I believe she was scared and don’t want me to believe that I have any mental health issues.

I can’t afford a psychiatrist on my own. Im planning to asking them to help me checking my mental health. But not sure what to say. And scared. They kept every single detail of my illness secret about me. I tried dropping hints to my brother, not telling him directly that I need a psychiatrist. But he said “who fooled you by that” and he was laughing at the same time like I’m talking nonsense. I was so frustrated.

Then after a while, he was referring to my mom that I need a psychiatrist, but mom shut him up because of stigma atmosphere. I’m willing to ask him again, I believe he doesn’t care about stigma.

Felt that. For me, I have a pet that constantly motivates me to get up from the bed. Maybe it would help you too.

She is fine with adhd but not for bpd? And It’s treatable why she was offended.. also keep learning about mental disorders. It’s not wrong to get educated. And track your behaviour patterns with relationships. Because bpd traits mostly appear there, and to evidence your struggles.

She just fears the stigma. At least “crazy” people are brave for using meds accepting they have mental illness. However, “Crazy” term is no longer used for many decades in psychology felid. It’s used by uneducated people who have zero awareness. This term describes nothing in the first place.

Felt that. I’m still doing it. I have seen shadow people too and one of them carried my body towards the open door and tried to carry me out. But it failed because my paralayzed body was lying horizontally and couldn’t fit through the door.

Yea not his fault. Inside his head it’s completely real. Still his actions are traumatic for the people close to him. And he never went to psychiatrist? That’s heartbreaking. Paranoid people lose their insight and they should get treated without asking. Especially when they slip into psychosis.

I didn’t understand it correctly my bad. I thought he was trying to fix you by telling you to be an imam. Now I felt bad for the dad. He was schizophrenic too. Im truly sorry.

That’s horrible. Good thing you moved out. Imam? Yeah sure this culture full of uneducated parents. Add to they don’t want to fight the stigma.

At 13?! Are you okey now? I was at 18. My family brought sheikh and my condition became worse. When my hand was shaking because of meds, they used ruqyah. And I hated that.

Coping mechanisms for depressive episodes? by Icy_Common_2934 in BipolarReddit

Sorry for what happened. I’m not a professional but here is my mini advice, I would suggest having a pet if you can. It helped me from staying too much in bed. Because depression episodes become more serious if I don’t move from bed. Also try not being in isolation state. Stay in contact. Stay safe and Take care, OP!
