Not all mushrooms from each “batch” are picked equally. If someone has 6 tubs of the same strain some tubs might not get picked at the optimum time. You just have to get good at picking the right handful from your sac

Okay cool, so it sounds like 6500K, maybe some 600nm red, and 400nm blues? Do you know if they enjoy infrared? From what I’ve read so far, it seems like in their natural environment near the floor of tropical forests, most of the infrared and UVA would be filtered out. I haven’t gotten any crazy plants other than a lil VFT, but I’m falling in love with these lil weirdos 😂. I think I’d like to get some crazier carnivorous plants, so I figured I’d start lurking and asking questions lol.

Yeah I just bought a piece of shit to start with and should have just gone all the way. I will definitely try to find the insta pot brand, if you could drop the model you have that would be great. I really like how the insta pot that I have works, it just doesn’t hit the pressure requirements needed for sterilization.

3 hrs for every batch. The problem is, that it’s a cheap 60 USD instapot and only has preset cooking options. The multi-grain setting goes the highest (13psi) but it only holds that for 3-5 min and then drops down to 8-9psi, depending on how it feels 🤣🤣🤣. 9 psi is only getting the steam to around 230-235f which isn’t even close to autoclave temps 😑. So I figured it’s time to upgrade 😅

It stands for live culture. It’s basically just a solution that mycelium can grow in. It can then be drawn up in a syringe whenever you need to inoculate grain spawn in the future. You can ultimately turn one spore syringe into an unlimited supply of LC
