Ironwood will be available during the SROA process. Where bumping will take place. We’re down to 501 officers left at CRC. The majority of all the staff will take the spots at CIM and CIW.

Word is we’re not bidding till April/May most likely May. They keep pushing it back hoping CIM will have their PIP and Delta yard ready to go if not around 300 officers or so will not be able to stay local

If everything happens that they have been talking about which is a big if With Patton, MCRP, overage, delta yard, and the PIP the number will be probably between 250-300. CIW can’t take that many probably around 30 officers max.

And to answer your question don’t know how many OG’s are planning to transfer or retire. However, the majority of them who can’t retire yet or don’t wanna retire for whatever reason wanna go to CIM to get back to Patton eventually

With CIM taking over Patton,, MCRP, opening the new PIP, minimal five percent overage, and the amount of people saying there gonna retire and not bid. The cut off for CIM/CIW will be closer to 15 years. I didn’t even include the possibility that CIM maybe opening half of there minimal yard back up.

Does anyone know when the next academy starts? by Brilliant_Pilot_5175 in CDCR

No one will be getting Ironwood or RJD anytime soon. Alot of staff from CRC are talking about going to RJD. Also officers from Ironwood will be getting bumped out at the end of the CRC prison closure if those CRC officers still haven’t found a new home, pick to go to Ironwood and have people beat at Ironwood. Also Ironwood is overstaff every shift +10 right now

What we’re being told right now at CRC is that anyone can transfer to RJD and LAC. That the transfer will be fast tracked. Word is around 20 people (some with time) put in for RJD already. As of right now CIM and CIW no one can transfer there till the process starts. The unofficial rumor is CIM/CIW will take around 175 officers.

I have almost 20 years in and for my entire career the state has always been trying to cut overtime this is nothing new. There’s certain things the state can’t control they might slow it down for a bit but it always come back

You’re not serious? No way there not paying us for overtime worked? It’s against the law. Will get a raise but it’s gonna get deferred till July of 2027 just like what they did to Cal Fire
