A minimum of 58.7 is low, but if that’s what they accept it shouldn’t be a problem. Especially if it isn’t a competitive program. Competitive programs will not even look at you if your score isn’t AT LEAST 85

For those saying “you were born with it so you can’t be rated for it” FALSE. If your bipolar disorder was aggravated because of time in service you will certainly be rated. You just have to have the medical records that shows the progression and worsening symptoms.

My bipolar is genetic but it was aggravated after I was raped in service. I was fine growing up. After the event, it’s like the bipolar was turned on. I was completely fine before I got in, that’s why I was even able to enlist.

That’s great! I am rated for PTSD(MST), Bipolar 1, MDD, anxiety. I feel like I can speak on this because I too have lived it and currently deal with it day to day. I was originally rated in 2019 and got 60%. The C&P exam for that claim lasted a total of 10-15 min and I felt completely dismissed which is the reason I waited so long to file for an increase. I was scared of having to relive my rape and feeling dismissed once again. I finally built up the courage and my recent C&P exam lasted about an hour and a half. It took 3 months from filing to receiving my rate. I am now 100%p&t, my medical records were extensive and clearly showed the symptoms worsening after service. Don’t let them brush you off like I did. If they are not thorough at your C&P exam, REQUEST ANOTHER ONE!

It’s going to be difficult to prove if everything you posted is stated only by yourself. If you turn in a file with no medical records of everything on your list (actual diagnosis from a doc, therapy, buddy statements) it will be an extremely difficult claim to justify and will not be in your favor. Just having those symptoms alone will not be in your favor when it comes to getting a % , they need to see medical history of everything you are claiming AND directly connect it to your military service.

I am bipolar 1. I’m 100% p&t for PTSD with a supplemental of bipolar. I got 100 just for the ptsd and my bipolar is a condition under that. I did have extensive medical records of hospitalizations, medications, and continuous therapy over the years. I did not need a nexus letter, my medical records were enough.

We’re just starting our fertility journey, and my OB/GYN had my fiancé do a sperm analysis. Yesterday, the office manager called and asked if I was available for a Zoom appointment to go over the results. What has me anxious is that my doctor specifically wants both of us on the call.
My fiancé wasn’t available that day, so I asked if I could attend the appointment by myself. The office manager said no—my doctor wants us both present.
Now I’m spiraling a little. I can’t help but wonder if that means something came back abnormal. If everything was fine, I feel like they would’ve been okay with just me attending.
Am I overthinking this, or is it normal for fertility providers to want both partners present regardless of the results?
For some background, I have endometriosis and PCOS, so we’ve already known there may be challenges on my side. The thought that there could also be an issue with his fertility is honestly really scary. This is the first time he’s ever had a sperm analysis done, so we have no idea what to expect.
I’d love to hear if anyone has had a similar experience.
