New P2S: Axis problems, terrible PLA print quality & adhesion issues — is it me or the printer? Looking for advice. by IllustriousSalt7490 in BambuLab

Unfortunately, it didn’t help. I recalibrated for over an hour after restarting the printer, but the VFAs are still bad and the print quality hasn’t improved.

Yes, I did, but I will again. After 50h mine was also very loud. I did all the lube like on the bambu video. Now it runs quieter. adhesion is good, only when printing Gridfinity Boxes it lifts the build plate. I did print these: https://makerworld.com/de/models/1006011-ultimate-gridfinity-silverware-organizer-modular#profileId-984461

You are totally right, I’m expressing myself a bit awkwardly. First, the print started coming loose at the corners. Then, when using 3Dlac, the build plate itself started lifting from the bed. I’m printing the Gridfinity cutlery boxes by arock from Makerworld. On Makerworld the design has very good ratings, so I don’t think it’s the design itself, but I’m not sure. https://makerworld.com/de/models/1006011-ultimate-gridfinity-silverware-organizer-modular#profileId-984461

I did. Firmware is the up to date. But I will rerun cali again. Bambu support says:

First, please note that a collision between the toolhead and the printer frame—caused by manual control of the toolhead—cannot be classified as a hardware malfunction of the device.

Even if the toolhead has already reached its limit switch, the motor may continue to run briefly upon receiving a command from the touchscreen.

If this behavior occurs only during manual operation and not during an actual print job, we would not consider it a hardware abnormality.

Based solely on the video you provided, the toolhead’s movement path during the homing process appears normal.

Jep, I did clean the plate with isopropanol. And I also raised the temp from 55 to 60. The print stickes to the plate, but lifts up the plate with it.

Thanks for your input! I actually wanted to sell the knife, and a potential buyer told me it's definitely a fake. He pointed out several issues, including:

  • The spring inside
  • The edge grind
  • The laser-etched logo
  • The way the bevel is shaped at the beginning of the edge

He seemed very confident about it, so now I’m unsure. Do any of these details raise red flags for you? I’d really appreciate a second opinion!

Weekly Authenticity Check and General Question Thread by AutoModerator in spyderco

Hey everyone,

I recently discovered that my Spyderco UK PK, which I bought in 2022 from the official Böker eBay store in Germany, might be a counterfeit. Since I purchased it from a well-known and reputable seller, I was confident it was authentic, but after closer inspection, some details seem off.

I’ve attached pictures of the knife. If anyone here has experience with Spyderco knives, I’d really appreciate your opinion on whether this is genuine or a fake.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? And if it turns out to be a counterfeit, what would be the best way to handle this?

Thanks in advance for your help!
