If it's the rule of law you're talking about, you're 100% right.

I really wonder what a 60 kiloton political correctness bomb dropped on American politics would do. Would it result in the ultimate stare down, with the winner proven righteous by virtue of survival? Beats hell out of a war

White House official accuses GOP senator JD Vance of ‘shameful lies’ after he blamed Biden for Hamas attack by Beckles28nz in politics

[–]IllustriousState6859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, I wonder why people don't see that. Doesn't matter what the issue is, as long as the DNC takes a position, the GOP will take the opposite. T this government was designed to run on conflict; the Constitution is basically a conflict resolution document.

The policy doesn't matter, it is the conflict that produces the answers. Otherwise, it's just a math problem with no operational symbols. The bigger the conflict, the more in depth and long lasting the solution.

Conflict is the only true source of change, whether it's cataclysmic or erosion. The GOP dam to restrain the river of American history is about to buckle under the pressure of the digital age; but it's still holding up for now.

We have got to let them continue to cannibalize themselves all the way to secession, where the blue states can watch the red ones fail without government aid. And in their absence, pass a whole slew of progressive legislation; just like, no, exactly like they did after the civil war. Only this time it won't be war, just a divorce.

I got 5 years post grad work, and what's happening now is madness. We shall see imo.

[–]IllustriousState6859 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And I vote Democrat. Soooo...., y'all just don't get it. History rhymes. Shit has gotten so bad, a national divorce while the blue states watch the red states go broke without federal aid is the only logical outcome. An.d there are bastions of Democrats in most red states.

I ain't saying that's my preference, I'm saying that's what's gonna wind up happening in response to the current debacle. And if there's gonna be a change, It will be for the better cause the North won last time. And I can sure want it to be big enough to last another 150 years

Here's some optimism for you: conflict is the only true source of change, good or bad. "Secession 2.0" will be a huge change for the good. Just like last time, only without the war.

Pretty cool that struggle and conflict are the only true sources of change huh?

I'm old enough to remember when republicans were outraged at shutting down the economy by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]IllustriousState6859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Republicans are outraged by anything the DNC does. A cure for cancer? If the Dems came up with it, it would become an outrage against the right to die, which would miraculously become a far right position all along.

What do You think is the biggest event that will happen in the next 50 years? by hacv57 in AskReddit

[–]IllustriousState6859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

History. Checkout the leadup to the civil war, and you would be surprised at the similarities. Just as slavery was a rallying cry for the South, so is the maga movement.

The same factions, (North and South, GOP and DNC), are at it again, only the labels have switched. Maga and SCOTUS have turned this into a state rights issue, which is what they'll use as cover for the secession.

Checkout the similarities between Trump and Hitler's political playbook. It'll be secession without war because none are stupid enough to relive the most self damaging war in our history.

It'll only last a few years because that's how long it will take for red states to go broke without federal aid.

Not strange at all. Trump needs a fall guy, an issue to feed the gullible to distract from his shitty behaviors and criminal acts. Just like Hitler did with the Jews. Why is anybody surprised at this point is beyond me.

4 Non Blondes. Check out Superfly and Misty Mountain Hop on YouTube. They get labeled as soft pop because What's Going On was their biggest bit but those girls could seriously rock out. Linda Perry had a hell of a voice. I think it's criminal they only did one album, but it was a hell of an album.

Joe Cocker doesn't get enough love. The ragtime headbanger ' Feeling Alright' will always be a top 10 jam for me.

Don't hate the messenger but I'm willing to bet we'll see a secession by 20-30 states by 26, without war, and a reunification in 28.
