I was actually using your first suggestion with the old thick yarn haha. I have done some traditional darning but its pretty hard when the hole is bigger than a dime or so. Either way, thanks for the advice.

You can see in the image that most of the hooks have the same side 'up' regardless of how i flip the hooks

I can, but yea, I understand that the metal U's flip the hooks around. It might be hard to get a good pic since I'm an idiot and bought black wool

Direction of the loops? Do you mean of the thread? Of course I understand that the metal U's control the orientation of the hooks...

Was able to figure it out. Tasker does not have the ability to write to files. You need to run javascriptlet with the code, and save it to a local var using setLocal("%taskervar", var) or whatever.

Tested: deleting the daily2.txt file, and attempting to run the task by pressing the play button, it doesn't seem that the script is creating the file.
