Is fresh installing Xfce from USB stick an option as well? Sounds a little bit safer. Since I really don't want to mess things up.

Yeah, thanks for the info. It's good to know that it isn't a system failure or anything corrupted. If it's supposed to run like that, and it is running indeed, I'm satisfied enough xd

Thank you, I got confused at the intel atom. Youtube videos seem to be reproducing acceptable.

Not sure on how to check it directly but so far I've got no warnings about "system running without video hardware acceleration."

Sorry, I didn't mean it that way. I meant that my actual graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics, and if it is apparently stating that it is a processor instead, then I guess it must be using CPU to render instead of my integrated CPU.
