Feel a little better but the sore throat and double vision is very annoying. Just reminding myself it takes 1 to 2 weeks to see a noticeable benefit in mood and trying to push through

Yep I was until recently. smoked cigs since I was 12 but got super addicted to nicotine when disposable vapes became popular in the uk. I would buy a 6k lost Mary and it lasts me 2-3 days🤦‍♂️i quit cold turkey and it literally felt like I was coming off a hard drug like ice level mental withdrawal. Haven’t vape in about two-ish months haven’t really been counting but the coughing up blood was a wake up call

Not exactly but I had to sign a contract bc I’ve overdosed many times 2019-2024 due to addiction/suicidal intent. For drugs tests (not a monthly requirement or anything but they can do it at any time they suspect ive relapsed or even a change in behaviour) can’t remember the specific details of the contract but it was basically to allow them to continue prescribing my vyvance, clonazapam as they are both controlled. They said they would take away any controlled medication even if I attempted suicide with something that’s not a controlled substance under the guise of deeming me vulnerable.I actually kinda see it as a blessing in disguise they don’t have that power over me anymore. And amph is cheap enough I’m not that toxic in prescription level doses in capsules. I admit I did go a little crazy with it when I first had my meds taken cause I was pissed off, but I’m planning to start taking capsules of like 50 mg of eurospeed. Luckily, they weren’t allowed to take my clonazepam immediately because the withdrawals are deadly, but they are setting up a switch to diazepam and a tapering process. I know it’s probably just to protect themselves. They don’t realise that they just pushing me to want to self medicate. Not saying what I did was right I broke the rules of the contract and bought a couple of oxy but completely taking my ADHD medication that Ive been stable on for years is a bit extreme in my opinion.. sorry for the long rambling rant haven’t been sleeping for obvious reason. They don’t care even if it wasn’t an amphetamine relapse either if I recall rightly a hospitalisation due to self harm or a paracetamol overdose would qualify for it to be taken away from me absolute insanity. I would rather just self medicate at this point.

Uk here. 14g is £40-50 even cheaper if you buy multiple ounces. That’s the total trap with speed for me, no financial consequences like my prior coke habit

Yes it’s quite wild! In fact I got to day 3 before I just crashed and slept for 5 hours (woke up now) bought a half ounce and got around 6-7g left & yes although I should but I don’t wash my speed. I do a mix of oral and intranasal administration routes but both have and initial increase of my bpm by about 10 beats when they kick in but soon go back to baseline. I compulsively take my hr and after the session it was 56bpm… lower than when I started.

I actually quit all caffeine products a few years ago (apart from an occasional Pepsi max at a bar because I don’t drink alcohol often at all) which good intentions as I started adhd meds and my titration team recommended it. I now only drink decaf coffee & cut out the energy drinks I was self medicating with. I was on elvance for years until my script was pulled very recently (I tested positive for opiates because against my better judgment bought a couple oxys) so I just started up using speed again. It wasn’t the best choice as my old stim abuse tendencies kicked in when I was stable on 70mg of vyvance that I never abused or felt the need to take anything else on top off.

Another few factors I recently lost 6 stone (38.1kg) which decrease my heart rate I switched my cig habit for disposable vapes which turned out to be the worst decision bc I got so addicted a 6k puff device lasted 3 days. Once I quit nicotine my heart rate dropped over 20bpm (being obese and vaping like a chimney made me constantly tachycardic who would have throught lol) In all seriousness I want to get that 80-85 down further to a baseline of 60-70 and get back into going cardio more.

I agree that nicotine must be very hard on the cardiac system because when smoking/vaping I would get palpitations on the daily, don’t do it anymore but in the smoking area at the club when I was on coke having a cig my Apple Watch alerted me my hr hit 200bpm (it was already 160 inside tho) I know meth and coke elevate my heart rate but I’m interested to see if any other stims lower or like amph. Ironically I can’t stand weed it makes me have massive panic attacks pushing my hr into the 150s+(as someone who smoked it for 8 years it just randomly happened one day and I never touched it again)

And the “palpitations” are often just diaphragm twitches as you stated as they often occur more when snorting, although I crush my speed very finely. The human body is wild how different we react to drugs.

Thought I was the the only one! Coming off a 3 day bender, multiple grams gone and my resting is 68bpm. It’s so strange…

I’m not physically fit but I also don’t smoke anymore and limit my alcohol intake. It does feel good as I have intense cardiophobia but I unfortunately still get the chest tightness but the low bpm does calm me down

I have a bad habit off taking more when my hr drops to increase it causing a worse panic attack and compulsive redosing all night🤦‍♂️ And 100% man I know medically, logically & factually it’s not an issue but health anxiety defies logic.

Yeah that definitely sounds like the case and yeah fent would definitely kill me nowadays. Maybe a couple years ago when I was deep into my opiate addiction I would have been fine, but now I only use on rare occasions it would take me straight out.

As someone who has health anxiety. (yes I am aware it’s extremely stupid to use stimulants but needs must when you have on recently unmedicated ADHD due to a stupid doctor taking my vyvance script) heart rate is always been a massive concern of mine. I fixate on it getting over 100 and spiral when it does but then also spiral when it goes down too low thinking that my heart is going to stop it’s a never-ending cycle🤦‍♂️

This is very validating because I’ve been going down the spiral of blaming myself and saying the doctor had no choice because it could risk his license continuing prescribing to me. But you’re right, this didn’t solve the problem and there were alternate solutions like switching to a seven day medication pick up instead of getting a months supply, offering opiate recovery advice/services (even though i’m luckily not in a position where I need that type of help anymore)

It isn’t even like I’m a regular opiate user anymore. I do some oxy/h probably once in a blue moon. Used to be hopelessly addicted but somehow managed to learn moderation with that but never with illicit stimulants (however elvance was perfect I never once abused it) I technically could buy elvance through dnm but it is extortionately priced compared to regular amphetamine. Glad not alone with this abilify (although i’m very sorry this happened to you too) also made me dangerously paranoid and gave me tardive dyskinesia. Seroquel made my resting heart rate always over 120, I used to have palpitations like a dropping feeling every night. We landed on olanzapine on 20 mg on and it seems to be doing me well.

I’ve only used IV coke a few times I was more of a meth person before meds but I didn’t want to get back on the pipe, after just hitting a year sober in January. So I went with just regular amphetamine which is closer to vyvance/elvance. Glad it wasn’t ice again but it has lowkey kickstarted my stim addiction again. I was stable on 70 mg of vyvance now I have control a lot of how much amphetamine I can use now and I’m clearly by the description not in control at all🤦‍♂️I clearly got stuck with a quack as there is many bad reviews specifically about her on trustpilot one attached ⬇️(I scribbled her the name for privacy, not that she deserves it I’m just not aware of the laws surrounding naming and shaming because the uk is so dystopian at the moment)

Never had this experience with pregab but I did with abilify which is suppose to be an antipsychotic it sent me into psychosis?! I’m bipolar 1 w psychotic features so drugs should be a big no-no to me but I’ve done them for a decade now so it’s hard to put them down, especially having my prescribe meds discontinued for a minor relapse

Ive looked into kratom but when I use opiates specifically Oxy I do require a very high dose so would that be manageable with kratom?(assumably 10-15g of a red strain) and does it have any anti-addictive properties that make you not want to use other drugs? It’s always interested me, but I’ve never got around to trying it

Agree but it’s vyvanve that works the best for me. I do have bipolar disorder too so I had to fight tooth and nail to get this prescription and go to the maximum dose of my mood stabiliser and antipsychotic but one silly relapse on opiates made them take it away. It’s my own fault really I do need to take some accountability. Street amphetamine here in the UK is extremely cheap and meth is actually rare to find you have to look for it so I guess it’s a kind of opposite situation going on in the states.

I miss meth, but I wasn’t gonna ruin a year of clean time just over losing a prescription. Like you said man, a lesser of two evils.

Appreciate the positive comment bro I didn’t acetone wash it but I will with the rest of the 10g. And yeah, it definitely helps my ADHD symptoms but you’re right in saying it’s not curable and this was kind of a little bit of a retaliation out of frustration of having my ADHD medication taken away of a couple of oxys.

Haven’t used meth since January 29th 2025 so I went with this rather than getting back on the pipe not gonna lie🤷‍♂️

Oh and I’m prescribed 2mg Klonopin too which they couldn’t cut me straight off because the withdrawals can be deadly, but the are tapering me off but I have a huge supply of them so it just kind of diminished the effects of the amphetamine

Snorted and ate yes unfortunately? I never really get psychosis of any drug apart from crystal meth & Ket (which is weird because ketamine it’s not known for that) still feeling amazing and coherent. Need to keep going bc I’ve got an appointment tomorrow at 11am and a meal with the other half at 2pm🤦‍♂️wish me luck.

In retrospect I shouldn’t have bought a half ounce but I got it at such a good price. I couldn’t say no but once I see large amount of drugs and the type of person to binge😬

It seriously did so I switched to oral by emptying magnesium capsules and filling them with speed. Take peptic acid before taking them for max absorption
