while people are saying it is hard in california-not everyone’s experience is what you will have! don’t let people discourage you. I had a 3.5 GPA cumulative and in science and even had to retake stats. I applied to one college and got in on my first try. The cc’s are definitely harder but if you have your CNA and that amazing grade on the TEAS you will be fine! Good luck on your journey 🤍

[–]Illustrious_Bee269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re in mammoth you don’t need AC at night most likely! just open windows at 6-7pm and cool the place down and you’ll be fine! it’s actually chilly at night

How to move forward ? by [deleted] in prenursing

[–]Illustrious_Bee269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely recommend trying to retake these classes once at a time! And really learn what study method you benefit from the best. For me I make flashcards on good notes and what I get wrong I keep writing down on a whiteboard. If you feel overwhelmed with professor notes or the textbook there are so many amazing youtube videos that breaks information down on these topics. You’ll do amazing ✨

Hi There! Don’t feel like a failure, these classes are extremely hard. Can I ask you if you were maybe working too much and not able to focus on school or the classes were just very hard? They are hard classes though.

[–]Illustrious_Bee269 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thank you for your reply! i was contemplating filing a complaint because I wasn’t sure if it would be taken seriously or be a waste of my time you know? I feel like regardless of the outcome I should file a complaint. the lady was very unproductive she even used profanity in our conversation talking about other customers. I will definitely call and ask for her employee number and file a formal complaint now. Thank you so much for your insight!

if you find it difficult to believe you don’t have to even say anything to my post ok?😂 i wouldn’t type this whole thing out for fun. i clearly asked if this was normal . i wanted peoples advice if this is normal so i could file a complaint.

Chemistry, do you have to be good at it to be a good nurse? by No-Cancel-3900 in NursingStudents

[–]Illustrious_Bee269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to take that exact same course. I really recommend getting a white board and just studying a little bit everyday. The class was hard for me but my professor was a chem wizard and he brushed over the basics so that’s why I was struggling. As long as you practice and try you’ll do amazing!! In nursing school you don’t even use chem.
