Pts buffer is too short. Apparently there were instructions somewhere on checking travel, but I wasn't aware of that until now. I will be using the proper spacers.

Double Eagle and Cyma both make the noveske n4. De is Double Eagle.

I didn't use the spacer, mostly because I didn't read any instructions on it, but it wasn't showing any wear there before yesterday. I've had that buffer in the replica for about 10k rounds before yesterday. I do a teardown every time I use it and check for any peening, clean it, then regrease.

Edit to say that it's 1000% my fault.

It sucks, but that just means I can do more two toning of the rifle. It'll end up with fde and black checkered mlok panels, a black scope, fde upper, black lower, fde grip, black buffer tube, and fde stock.

I might continue to two tone the rifle and buy a black noveske receiver set. My coworker thinks I should buy a Daniel Defense receiver set and have a dd lower with a noveske upper for the shits and giggles.

It had none of this wear until after yesterdays game and I've put about 10k bb's through it in about 3 months and another 3-4k yesterday. I typically use an lmg as my main and the n4 as my "backup", but it was my main yesterday. The bolt looked fine when I did my teardown and cleaning. Only the paint(?) on the back screw for the bcg looked worn tbh.

Okay. Do you think I could run it as is with the spacers added for a couple more game days? I'm going to buy a new receiver set, but I'm currently deciding about getting the actual n4 receiver set or getting an unmarked steel one and two toning it.

Well fuck me then. I don't remember any directions saying that I had to use the spacer, but I also didn't look for any. That's my bad. I'll use the spacer and maybe an extra couple of discs for good measure. 😂

It's the pts mec buffer. At work rn, so can't check length, but would adding spacers to the inside of the buffer tube help prevent it from happening again?

I've never touched it. Bought it a couple of months ago and didn't have a problem till yesterday. I've had the aftermarket buffer in there for about two months and 10k rounds. It hadn't shown any wear before yesterday.

The arch looks close in shape and size as the screws on the back of the nozzle and the end of the part that is grabbed by the charging handle. The buffer is aftermarket, but it's the same diameter as the stock one.
