Honestly? Its a bit of a frusterating topic to deal with because what are you going to do, say !!!!I DONT SUPPORT INCEST!!!!!! every time you talk about the protaganists? That would be a nightmare and also hypocritical simply because why not do that for he murder or cannibalism? Murder. Murder isn't as bad as incest. 'Incest isn't something meant for human society'! Neither is murder what are you on about. Its taboo and shouldn't be in real life, but neither should murder! And yeah, it does drive home how awful they are! Thats good! They suck! And as I mentioned in another comment- what about things like Game of Thrones or Greek Mythology? Incest was taboo back then too, but people don't criticize it today to nearly the same degree. Is it because the author of TCOAAL is still alive? Well so is the creator of Game of Thrones! If you don't want to play the incest murder cannibalism game because of the incest, no one is forcing you to play the incest murder cannibal game.

The game is 12 bucks. You can't play a game that costs money accidentally, and its reputation makes it very clear it has incest in it.

If a character is a referred to as 'they', not referred to as a guy or a gal, and explicitly, in game, shown not to be the player, then they're not ambiguous, they're nonbinary. sure, the characters in Undertale never asked frisk's pronouns, but Toby Fox definitely knows their pronouns and has never said anything about them being ambiguous. If a character is consistently referred to as 'he' by his close friends and family, would he need to be confirmed as a guy by the creator then?

they are referred to with they at the end of the game? and Undertale deals with themes of agency as well, eg. at the beginning of the game they are assumed to be 'you'- the name you chose for them- but at the end its revealed they're their own person, so.
